I think that Jones came in fooked for the 1st tarver fight, and getting worked over like that robbed him of his confidence. Tarver hurt Jones often in their 1st fight, and for the first time Jones must have felt what it was like to be a regular fighter and didn't like it. Physically, he looked better in the 2nd, but was iced too quickly to see whether he had recovered mentally. After that, never the same fighter.

Indeed, and Jones sudden loss of speed is very peculiar in that normally fighters lose their speed ralatively slowly through a series of fights, with Jones it was seemingly all at once, as if his super powers had suddenly been taken away!!???...
He was declining before th Kelly fight, and that was honestly the last fight he looked terrific in. You could see his power waning and him slowing up a bit, but vs a fighter like Glen, it's not as easily noticable. What killed him was going up to HW then back to LHW and dropping the 18 pounds. That will slow down anyone's speed and accelerate the decline. I'm not saying he was totally clean, he tested positive at least once, but it's pretty obvious why he saw a sharp drop in skill in the past 3 years...not to mention he's 37.

There were times in the third Tarver - Jones fight when it looked like Roy didnt want to be there . His concentration and desire do not appear to be sharp anymore. Hes looking tentative these days. Hanging em up might not be a bad idea.

Mosley also bulked up and stiffened up too much. He was strong and wiry earlier in his career, but he became too muscular, which took away his flexibility, much the same happened with Tyson.

The truth is, the mid to late 30's is not THAT old. There are plenty of people in other disciplines who are flexible way beyond that. Dancers in their 40's and 50's are far more flexible that even young fighters. It's the training methodology employed that's at fault. In Mosley's case, he also became more and more reliant on power, perhaps because the speed wasn't there any more, though in flashes, his hands are still really quick.

Now if you want to accuse anyone of being on roids... then look no further than Shane "Balco" Mosley.
