I enjoyed Lewis/Tyson for what it was, a well executed outboxing and beating of a man I didn't like. I wasn't disappointed by Jones - Toney either; Jones was always the nightmare opponent for an ATG counterpuncher; how do you counter someone so much faster than you? I loved that Toney wouldn't quit, wouldn't back down, wouldn't stop talking, shouting, trying. He grew about a foot in my mind in that defeat.

Carbajal/Gonzalez II and III were awesome fights.

First one I thought of was the Bite Fight. There was so many questions to be answered going in. Was Holyfield's surprise victory for real? How much better will a (supposedly) in shape, focused Tyson do this time around?

I had to work late that night. I rushed home figuring that the fight would be underway when i arrived, but hoping I'd only missed a couple of rounds. Got home, turned on the TV, and got the reports on what had happened. It was a total "What! Are you KIDDING!?!?" situation. What a downer.

Those were the days of analog cable when you could get the full sound with a scrambled picture of any PPV broadcast. I never got PPV fights in those days 'cause I couldn't afford it. But I always listened in live to the big fights. Glad I didn't spend any money on this one.

Well it was to me Saad, the bright new thing vs an up and coming contender from the hood, was hoping for more than 12 rounds of posing and feignting.

Oscar De La Hoya vs Felix "Tito" Trinidad was total garbage. It was labeled as the fight of the millenium. A fight to save boxing doldrums after the Tyson vs Holyfield II fiasco.

Evander Holyfield vs Mike Tyson II...the great Mike Tyson bites the great Real Deal's ears. It was the BEGINNING OF THE END OF BOXING FOR ME, just like HIP HOP is dead and MLB to me, is a FUNERAL.

I was really psyched for Tyson Spinks! I had only been following the sport a few years. I read & watched everything leading up to the fight. There was wall to wall coverage back then!! It's amazing what a big deal it was then compared to a fight now. It was huge!!!

I didn't have money to see it at a closed circuit place so I sat home & called the "Tyson vs Spinks Once & for All" hotline. I called once & they said the fighters were just entering the ring. I called 2 minutes later & "it was now history"! Lol!!

Duran Leonard 3 would be my other pick. Awful fight

Those who have cited Leonard Duran 3 have pretty much nailed it.

That was the era when Sugar Ray was conning the public & Duran was just there for the payday.

My pick is Lewis -v- Tua.

I thought Tua was going to be dangerous & far more competitive than he was, but he was useless & that's being kind to him.

I also thought that Lewis, with his size, physical strength & power, might have been slightly more adventurous, but alas, not.
