If anyone's dumb enough to buy dozens of fights that are crammed onto a small # of discs, well that's their problem. Happy squinting I say.

4playfights why did you even come onto this thread in the first place? You say to defend yourself but no one mentioned you in the first place. I'd be pretty interested to see what your real posting name is.

Despite what you say I think yes lower priced Ebay boxing DVDs may affect your business. Are some lower quality - maybe.

I have no interest in this squable 1 way or another but why deprive a man of earning a few bob on the side and . If you don't try to stop his business then fair play to you. But the fact you take such an interest would indicate that yes maybe you feel slightly threatened by the competition.

I doubt ebay employ 'fight fans' but they do search for keywords. Or they don't want copys of any type on their site. Any product that use certain keywords gets pulled from the sitre within hours, ie Viagra, Steroids - even if your just using the word to get hits for your legal supplements.

Yawn.

When are you going to comment on boxing on this, a boxing site, 4play?

All I can see from you are posts running other people down and trying to talk up your own business.

Either contribute constructively or dont bother coming on here :TU:

If someone has a business they may want to not get into arguments that has someone go after their business interests.

Alternatively they may want someone to back up there argument

Heres an unscupolous idea that may get me banned but will help out a few of these kids banned by ebay

Make a website selling your DVDs, theres another thread on here with a great link, then make up a new id here, and at every boxing forum message as many people as you can links to your site with the deals you have on the DVDs. Should put you back in business without Ebay

I know a lot of fvckwit sellers like to dob in other sellers.

The guy at boxingvideoclassics.com used to do this all the time, because he felt people were selling poor quality fights (in other words he didn't like the comp and was worried about his own fights being sold on).

That guy from the BM ads (foreplay porn or something?) did the same, from what I heard. I think he even admitted it on here.

Ebay are able to get onto this straight away. I wouldn't be surprised if they employ fight sellers/former ones to keep an eye out. Or maybe there are too many jealous fight sellers who forget they don't own copyright.

Ultimately, sellers themselves fvcked up. They got greedy and they got possessive. Now no one can sell via Ebay.
Yeah the people that 'grassed' on other sellers are just low life imo and stupid, after all when you sell fights you dont own the copyright to them just cause you mixed them onto a dvd. And where did these people that 'grassed' get their fights in the first place?. Having said that some sellers did get stupid and start selling 10 dvds at a starting price of £1 (I never did) and simular ridiculous 'deals' so I can imagine that this put the backs up of the rather more expensive sellers and started off all the problems.
This is why supermarkets and the like have agreements over their prices so that they dont end up kncoking eachother out of buisness... if people had been a bit more sensible everyone could have done quite well together... :x
Silcov - nobody owns the copyright, but I think it's fair enough for people who put the fights together. Put yourself in the situation. If you were trying to build a collection by buying top quality more expensive footage from sellers overseas and putting your own discs together, you wouldn't want to sell it to somebody only to have them turn around and sell their own copies. Did you ever try to do this authoring yourself? It takes a lot of time. I have authored most of my own stuff but haven't done any in ages. Sometimes a seller may need to sell up to ten copies at ebay prices just to break even on the cost of obtaining the footage, so if somebody is just trying to break even in order to expand their collection again, they're not going to like some pr1ck undercutting them and profiting from their work. I understand that nobody owns the copyright but if the original author rats somebody else up claiming to have authored the discs themselves and gets them banned, I say fair play to him.

Absolute rot to be frank, you dont know the bigger picture, once you sell your fights to someone they can do what they like with them, simple as that. I was one of the first sellers on ebay and had several people selling on fights that they brought from me, it was annoying but I just took it as a hazard of the buisness, did I 'grass' them up?... no!... the thought never crossed my mind at all, doing something like that is an alien concept to me, where I come from you dont 'grass' simple as that, end of story. And another thing, what about where 4skin got his fights from in the first place??... he's admitted to getting fights off Red Dragon, so shouldnt Red Dragon be able to grass on 4skin??. All this stuff about arthoring your own fights is just so much crap, if 4skins stuff was half as good as he claims he wouldnt be spending so much time worrying over the opposition.
As I've said before I've never brought anything from 4skin, but I have strong suspicions that he brought some stuff from me in which case he knows that there was nothing wrong with my fights at all (except that they were/are far cheaper than his!! 8) ) ...so he has in fact most likely been selling on fights that he has brought from me if he is the person I'm thinking of!. On the other hand if he's never brought from me how can he know anything about my collection??... bit of a puzzle realy eh!!... 8)  ...I think I know the answer though and it all boils down to greed, envy and insecurity on his part.
People selling fights should be sticking together, cooperating together, its not hard to see that this is what many buisnesses do, they cooperate together and help eachother in such a way that they can all work and flourish together, generally I've always been able to do this with other fight sellers/traders/collectors, after all we're all supposed to be interested about the same thing and no two collectors have identical collections and by working together collectors can gain from eachother and both benifit!... but unfortunately you will always get a petty minority such as 4skin who will come along and cause trouble for everyone and then seek to justify themselves when there is no justification, ....and there is no justification for being so small minded and tretcherous, there is no honour in being a grass, it is sad and pathetic and quite honestly I feel pity for anyone whose life is so limited that they have to stoop to such a level and then be deluded and arrogant enough to actually boast about what they've done!... unbelieveable! and very sad!... 8) :TU:

I've traded with Silkov and the quality was fine.

No one seems to be able to say the same for 4skin...

In fact the only person spruiking 4skin's stuff is the clown himself.

4skin must have some 'relationship' with The Red Dragon as he claims earlier in this thread that he knows for a fact that Silkov never got any fights from him.

Let's hear what The Red Dragon has to say about their 'relationship'.

Thanks, Collins, and I can vouch for the quality of your fights also, it is funny how noones mentioned being happy with 4skins fights, especially as he seems to have recently sold 10 sets of Paez fights or so he claimed!. As for Red Dragon hes someone that I've dealt with for a number of years and I'm very interested to see any evidence from 4skin to the contrary. If they have a 'relationship' I can only imagine that 4skin using him to get decent fights and then sells them on at more than twice the price while claiming that he has 'authored' them himself!!!     :box: :TU:

Dozens of sets a day? Your talking 24-48sets a day? Thats 720 a month or 8640 a year at £40 a pop £350k a year

Would be good if 24-48 sets wasn't. You wouldnt waste your time arguing with ebayers and been threatened by there prices if you were doing that well
