That's the worry. The bout would no doubt be justifiable in some quarters. I'm going to this bill with 2 mates who are attending their first shows. They've seen Enzo on tv and were looking forward to seeing him in the flesh. They might only see him for 11 seconds if this comes off. Mis-matches are not going to encourage these type of fans to return.

Im gutted. Im going to this bill and now I Know this fight is a waste of time , expect this oppponent to fall over from this wind from enzo's breath. This bill is a money printing exercise for FW. Weve all been robbed and must learn the lesson. The only good value fights will be the lesser known fighters. well I believe there is 15 fights so hope to see something good.

Hard not to poke fun at this one, it's the promotional equivalent of a fat kid with ginger hair and glasses, just waiting to get slapped about in the playground.

Still, I doubt SN give a shite, according to them they are going to get a vast crowd for this fight in any case, and don't really need anything much to sell it at this point. It's incredible to me that just because Manfredo was on the contender, people are prepared to turn out in their thousands, I don't recall Calzaghe getting a pupported crowd like that for any of his other fights.

I wish there was a resource which listed the gates of fights, but I guess that maybe that information is held back by promoters.

I suspect there's just a little bit of bollocks in the claim that there will be 35,000 at this show.

Just read Ian's report and watched the fight again (I saw it a few months back when it was doing the rounds) and I have to say this is bordering on the dangerous. No way should a club fighter who I imagine is going to look tiny standing next to enzo when he looked overweight at 181, who has already taken a beating like that and never been in anything like world class, be matched up with a serious puncher like Enzo.

Enzo seems like quite an ambitous likeable guy, I wonder if he's as unhappy as Alex Arthur is

Jesus christ, just watched that on youtube, where did that referee train?

That dude was virtually doing a ground and pound, before the referee does a reverse suplex and slams him to the canvas, surely the ref isn't meant to be getting physical with the fighters, he'd have been within his rights to DQ him instantly for that in my book.

Then there's those knockdowns, christ, he should have been stopped after the 2nd one, his legs were shot to shite, couldn't even stand in one spot, and as for the third, I'm incredulous that any referee after seeing how badly he went down, would even contemplate him carrying on.

Gun is in serious trouble if a fat clubfighter with zero skills was able to take him down like that.

The reason people will turn out at the cardiff bill is because it could be Calzaghe's last fight on british soil, he may not have too many fights left. Also the aclaim he received for beating Lacy on ITV has made him a bigger draw.

The ref wont give us any action in this country on this bill because he will stop the fight the first punch Enzo throughs.

ok, I think we should all apologise to the WBO, because their ranking of Gunn is astute compared to the WBC (who have "without doubt the most prestigious rankings" blah blah,) anyway the WBC have him ranked #14. ffs. Have we missed something? Gunn makes Calloway look like the real deal. WTF is going on?

I think we should BLAST warren for this opponent, enzo should have too much AMMUNITION for gunn, hopefully the boxing MAGAZINES will voice their concern. I hope gunn SILENCES the critics by KO'ing enzo, he BERETTA put up some sort of challenge but i dont think he'll take a SHOT well and will be LOADING up on the night...
