If it's Gunn, that is seriously fornicating awful. He's #15 by the WBO, probably #150 by anyone else. He is a club fighter who took part in a farcical fight against Shelby Gross.

I'm assuming this is a late(ish) replacement for Cantatore if things with him have somehow fallen apart, but nevertheless the fact that WBO can rank him in their top 15 is scandelous.

Enzo KO1. Farce.

What the fornicate? That fight was nuts. Not to mention dangerous.

As for Maccarinelli versus Gunn, I'd call it a joke, except for the fact that I expect no better of the WBO. If the fight makes it to the second minute, never mind the second round, I'll be amazed.

i`d actually be more surprised if it wasnt true.
i just expect stuff like this these days in boxing, its when people mention there`s a chance a genuine competative fight like haye v macca might be made that i fall of my chair in disbelief.

Why is anyone remotely surprised? This is allegedly at his best... rumours of Haye... then down a level to Cantatore... finally arriving at club level fighter slipped into the top 15 by the WBO... all pretty standard.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Cantatore that pulled out, he messed Nelson around enough before finally fighting him.

No excuse though for this matchup and further makes a mockery of Enzo calling himself a world champion

Disappointed as myself and two mates are going up to this. Would have accepted Cantatore but this is just crazy.

It wouldnt surprise me if that was how Powell and Warren selected this next fall guy.. :-?

Typical turgid excuse for a world title fight. I will spend the money I would have on going to this SN show on the UFC show in Manchester :TU:

At least I will be guaranteed some real fights there, not micky mouse excuses for fights...

ITV should give anyone who even thinks about making this fight the bum's rush out the door.

Surely even FW would be too embarrassed to sit ringside for this?

If this fight takes place, then Sports network has not only hit bottom, but gone though the floor to a level we didn't even know existed!

This is truly appalling, no wonder people are turning to UFC, we start out with Haye v Macca and end up with this shite. Load of old bollocks.

There is time, but apparently not the willing.

Who is gving these fights the 'OK' at ITV? Do they even know what they are doing?

Warren takes the mick with every contract he is given. I would like to see him have to compete in an open, competitve market for a change instead of take the piss out of these weakly enforced exclusive contracts. Its killing the game.

Crazy, isn't it?? No wonder interest in the sport appears to be dwindling. After the collapse of the Haye fight, silly old optimistic me, thought that surely someone decent would be announced. If this fight is confirmed surely Enzo won't be happy with that?? Easy money mind.

Another website apparently but nothing has been 100% confirmed. Still clinging to the hope that this is just a load of rubbish.

It's not about being suprised any more. I don't think anyone is suprised at this. The question is should we keep taking this shit. If everyone who was disappointed with this match up sent ITV an email or asked for their tickets to be refunded or refused to buy a ticket to another SN bill then maybe just maybe we could stop this kind of thing going on.
