Khan was talking about fighting Earl or Thaxton next before this fight. Both would give him a good hiding, I seriously think Thaxton would knock him out in 2 or 3 rounds.

Will be interesting to see what they do with Khan next, I think the intercontinental route will be the next step as they can go back to picking and choosing little non punchers to fight. He'll actually have to fight decent opponents if he defends the Commonwealth belt.

I don't know, there's some right shite to be found in the commonwealth. But then again, you get the occasional Munyai, an apparent nobody with some real ability and power. So handpicked opponents for dodgy titles seems the likely path. Perhaps someone will bother telling the IBF that Khan is planning on fighting for their intercontinental belt this time?

Fair play to Khan for coming back strongly in the 7th and ultimately forcing the stoppage but he was in real trouble there against someone who can't crack an egg.
yeah sums up the night really.
good entertainment for the viewers.
but khan has an awful lot to work on.
I don't think you can work on a crap chin. Glass can be reinforced, but I don't think that applies to chins. Khan's going nowhere fast from now on.

Actually, it was wasn't.... part of my "scepticism" I mentioned in another thread. When Khan when down, his dad, Oliver Harrison etc were crapping themselves... Warren looked very relaxed.

yh his dads eyes nearly popped out and his sister was crying.

you will not hear the name jon thaxton eminate from the khan camp any more. good little fight. khan was open to a right hand very early on and would not have got past round 3 against a man with genuine power.
just proves the worth of his previous opponents. i could go on (again) about his turning pro too soon, which is obvious, but what chance does good sense have against the mighty £££££££. not alot. limond fought a decent fight. amir has been exposed.

Well, I was spot on with my prediction. Didn't see the fight, but it's a serious worry to think a non-puncher like Limond can have Khan on queer street.
I think Khan's going to be almost impossible to match well now. He can't seem to take a punch, yet his speed will overwealm anybody at a lower level than Commonwealth or British title standard.
It's a toughie for Warren and he'll have to be on his metal now.
Anybody with a link to this fight -- preferrably on a youtube style site, or a streaming site, rather than a torrent or download site -- can let me know by PM.

I thought it was a temple shot that got Khan going... Some fighters are weaker than others there, but its quite a difficult area to catch right. What I didn't like (and I still think he has the tools to go very far) was how long it took to recover... I don't think he EVER fully recovered from it, just Willie was complete fecked. I do wonder a little about his stamina, a fit fighter would have recovered much quicker. It might have been even been the fact that he was starting to fade why he got hurt in the first place, cause early on - while Khan seemed a little discouraged when getting tagged, his chin DID look quite solid. Infact, a round or two before I was tempted to make a post saying "well it looks like Khan's chin is better than many people predited".
The majority on here are now saying Thaxton and even Gomez would beat Khan. Yes, they have the power to KO Khan no doubt... but lets not forget that Khan is a big lad who can punch himself... His punches were discouring Limond from the off. Yes, Thaxton is stronger than Limond... but Gomez has been hurt on many occasions.

That fight taught us what we needed to know about Khan, Lamond has only had 1 KO in his carrer so it shows he has not got a big punch. When Lamond put Khan down he did not have the power or stamina to finish the job, Khan had a very lucky escape. Khan obviously cannot take a good chin shot and any good American who he fights will be clapping his hands. Just like Hamed the myth has ended, but for Khan it has ended more quickly.

neither thaxton or gomez can box as well as limond although jon is better equipped than michael. but both can punch harder and although you say amir is a big lad and can whack his defences, especially just before he throws, are all over the place - check round 3 of the limond fight.
thats why his options have tightened because he is only in his 13th match up and will now have to be steered away from big hitters. its only gonna take one. i'll bet team khan are this morning thanking their particular gods that his opponent was limond. that was a good call.
