I don't share your sentiment, how many fans have been ripped off paying to see contests he has barely trained for? And a piss poor fight follows.

Presumably those who feel that way, and I'm sure there are a fair few out there, won't be parting with their cash. For the rest who prefer to remember the good times, who's to say they won't get their money's worth and enjoy themselves in the process.

I'd be interested to hear feedback on how the evening went.

It's happening at the Ring Gym (Cityboxer) 70 Ewer St, Southwak SE1 0NR on Thursday 15th November.

Danny will be doing 2x short exhibitions against Kevin Mitchell & Keith Long then the best of his fights will be shown on a big screen followed by a question & answer session.

There's a fully licensed bar & the doors open at 6.30.

£30 ringside, £20 outer ringside. Capacity is i'd guess around 100.

There will be an ad in tomorrows Boxing News but if you want to make sure you get in pm me.
That much to watch 2 exhibitions against retired pros?? Pure exercise at someone nicking a few quid
Yeah have to say, you could buy a ticket to Haye Mormeck for a little over that price, and I'm sure they have a bar.

No offence to Danny, but I really cannot see the value in this proposition. If he does well out of the night good for him, but I cannot see many people falling over themselves for this one.

I suppose he might get some of the cityboxer people turning up though.

Bruno has had the dough, not our fault if he has spunked it.

Yes, so I hear. But George, the local pisshead in my local is a genuine nice guy and funny to boot. He is also a world class drinker....

BUt I wouldn't want to pay £30 to watch him throw them back.
Danny wont be getting pissed of my $$ (he will leave that to Cityboxer Jon i assume) :TU:

I think some of you are being a bit hard on Danny, he's been frustrating over the years but I think he deserves some credit, he's given us some good moments and despite his erratic training in the past theres no doubting his heart, and he did well to come back and beat Gammer in his last fight. Give him a break....

I don't think anyone's being unpleasant, merely pointing out that shelling out to watch him box exhibition bouts doesn't seem like value for money.

If others wish to, then they should feel free to do so.

I find the whole idea of an exhibition - 2 guys prancing around pretending to hit each other - an insult. I've never been able to watch one without squirming. The Johnny Nelson-Herol Graham 1 was so annoying and Nelson would actually fight that way in his first 2 world title fights! (respect to Johnny, who made something of his career later, and Herol, one of out best & unluckiest pure boxers who I saw a pic of in Combat Mag recently)...

Isn't Danny serious about boxing anymore? Why not, he has years left on the clock.

Briggs, Lyakovich, Maskaev, W KLitschko all suffered devastating kayo losses to journeymen but later became world champions. Doesn't Danny wanna have a serious crack again?

Why not a shot at Virchis, or a trip to the states and an undercard slot against a Larry Donald or an Oliver McCall type of name?

I wanna see this exhibition just to see Danny but he's not progressing anywhere doing this.
