Did anyone listen to Bunce's show on Talk London or whatever it's called, apparently there was a review on there last night, never got to hear it.

Fair enough James. I'm not a fan of him as a bloke because of that but it doesn't take away the fact he was a good world champion who made the 8 stone division fashionable in Britain at the time.

Charlie did actually meet the Krays, visited one in Jail after he retired, but we decided to edit it out as it added nothing to the story, and was a bit cheesy.

There were quite a few bits were left on the cutting room floor. We lost about 15,000 words at the end I think.

No - it sells over 3.5 million copies, but it is estimated that 3 or at least 2.5 individuals read each copy.

Bit of a dubious way of judging a man, on the heresay of one disgruntled ex amateur. I was around during Charlies career and never heard such stories, though its possible that he was a hard guy in sparring, given his fighting style he would hardly be a fancydan in sparring would he?. Surely if Charlie made a habit of beating up innocent schoolboys there would have been more said about it. Maybe this guy did spar with Charlie and maybe he took liberties with Charlie and so had to be put in his place, this is much more likely.
I always heard that Magri sparred with his much bigger stablemates which is how he got his nose busted up (accidentially) by the 6 foot plus middleweight Mark Kaylor... most bullies dont pick on people almost a foot taller than themselves me thinks!...

Nice one with that James, I would be feeling quite proud of myself if in your shoes at the moment.
