Having watched it again, without wind assistance, and dispassionately, Hatton didn't do as well as I first thought. I think he won two of the first six perhaps.
What is unchanged is that Cortez went in there with an agenda which meant he would favour mayweather. Mayweather held just as much as Hatton throughout,
I don't think there's any way Hatton could have beaten Mayweather though, he just is too good for him. Whatever happened, Mayweather would have found a way to win. Hatton fought the wrong fight from the off, and once he got frustrated by the ref, fought very stupidly.
I also thought on watching it again, that whilst Ricky was far from gassed, (he looked pretty fresh coming out for the 9th), the mobility and footspeed have definetly declined from a few years ago.
