Same with me, though boxing has always been my base. I watch probably more UFC and wrestling shit than I do boxing, though I am getting into boxing professionally.

London PRing rules will never happen again, because of legalities, insurance and political correctness that will not allow a fight to the finish.

If they did, fighters would suffer less brain damage, because knucklers of the past did not strike many blows to the head for fear of damaging their hands against a hard skull. Many blows were aimed at the body or the neck.

Also, since a round ended when a man dropped, the early rounds tended to be long and more exciting but as the fight progressed it became really dull with each round lasting only seconds before another rest.

But this is a POSITIVE. In this day and age where it's been passed that in the lower weight classes more thicker gloves can be used [thus enhancing the punch rate] this just raises concern for more brain damage and possible ring deaths. You rarely heard of anyone back then who died in such bouts; but when the Marquis of Queensbury came about...then the numbers doubled up.

Boxing enthusiasts want to point out that since fights are no longer of a 15 round duration (now 12) and now theres talk of even 10-11 round championship fights, that it balances out the risk for injury...but in the end, all it does is make the title look AMATEUR.

Believe you me, if a fight was contended/promoted as being a genuine FIGHT TO THE FINISH, the pay per view sales would be through the roof!
