I think the point that is trying to be made to plopeater is that your posts come across as very naive for instance suggesting Ricky Hatton was unlucky against Mayweather when everyone clearly knows he got a whoppin.

I believe everyone should be given a fair crack of th ewhip but some things that you say are a little out there however plopeater do some research into other fighters check http://www.youtube.com and watch Castillo-Corrales 1, Morales-Barrera 1,2,3, Gatti-Ward 1,2,3 and you'll realise what a brillaint action packed fight is.

I find the site has lost/is losing credibility with its posters with the continuous Hatton infatuasion by certain posters having an unhealthy obsession with a Hatton v Witter match-up .. regardless of who people thinks wins .. Hatton has made it clear he has no desire for a match with Witter .. so why don`t people move on?

Hatton owes us nothing .. he, like the majority of boxers puts it on the line everytime he steps through those ropes .. regardless who he`s facing ..

I don't think it's the Hatton-Witter obsession bringing the forum down, it's not that easy to let go of. We all know,it's an absolute shambles that this fight is not happening and probably never will. Hatton is one of my favorite fighters but his numerous excuses are making him look very hypocritical. Okay i don't make multiple hatton hate threads about my feelings but I can understand where this dislike is coming from.

Plopeater is obviously a wind up merchant who has more boxing knowledge than he lets on, no genuine poster joins with a name like his and nobody can be as thick as he makes out.

wow what a topic, when i saw the name plopeater, i thought what a disgusting name because in the UK 'plop' is obviously poo poo or shit to anyone who does not know. Why on earth would anyone call themselves plopeater on a forum board such as Boxrec. I could understand you choosing a name like that if it was on a scat forum or a similar porn board.

also wheni catually see the name plopeater i bypass your threads or skip your reply because i get the impression that the topic will be something odd or something pornographic.

In my opinion sexual or anything innuendo names should be banned. pardon me but thats my opinion.

Don't have time to read this thread (or many others these days) but have to say that Spud is NOT a troll.

Just because many of you don't like him doesn't mean he's a troll. A troll is someone who deliberately goes out of his way to goad people and doesn't really care about what they write as long as it gets a reaction from others.

Spud might get a reaction from others but he actually believes what he says!

I quite like reading Spuds inside info and opinions.

SandySadler and Billythekid have recently been removed (for differing reasons, which I won't go into), and if plopeater continues to act like a troll then he will also be banned. He has been given every opportunity to improve his behaviour.

This is currently being looked into and if you ever have any complaints about a member then send a private message to a Mod. Thanks

Search - lets be accurate here - did I go over the top for whoever's "Tea Boy" I was - of course I did - and looking back other than the abuse on here it did me no harm whatsoever - what I have got up to in boxing is down to bare faced cheek, good old fashioned hard graft and playing the boxing game when necessary.

I have no problems in stating I got up to a lot of what people will perceive as wrong - but how about some honesty from some on here who have found it all too convenient to jump on the spud bashing wagon!!! - it's called jealousy and when the abuse has flowed on here and elsewhere - if I were perfectly honest it made me wind some of you c*nts up even more!!!

My attitude is the past is the past - I look back and think what a lucky, fortunate, spawny b*stard boxing fan I have been and what is more I do not regret winding up a lot of people around here up!!! - why - because they have done exactly the same to me in this mad dog eat dog world.

I honestly hope the mods close this and other threads where the abuse seems to flow all too conventiently and easily - lets discuss boxing and keep to boxing - British Boxing is going through a fantastic period - there is no need for "Spud Bashing" threads to keep boxrec busy!!!

Its a forum and no one should get too carried away...HOWEVER our resident tranny ( HitmanHatton1) is taking the piss!

As long as Boxrec don't make SPUD a mod it will be OK - if they did then this forum will get shut down!

Bang on mate, for me the bloke is rancid........anyone who thinks SPUD is ok knows nothing about British boxing forums, personally i don't know him THANK FOOK....... so many things have been said about this bloke, accusations about him and his mates makes me know some of it must be true.

This thread is pointless now, it was opened to chat about the forum going downhill and now it has turned into a slanging topic, each of you looking to moan about other members, throwing accusations about!

Why don't we add some constructive criticism so we can all improve this forum and stop insulting one another, its the internet there's always going to be people who you don't agree with it.

All this talk of banning...bit over the top unless someone is being abusive, racist etc. Defining certain posts / threads as dsigned with the specific intent of disrupting and anoying is very subjective. For example, that plopeater bloke, havent read too many of his posts, but if al he is doing is voicing his love for Hatton then so be it, its up to him. Either ignore him or educate him. If he becomes abusive, then ban him.

I think you have to be careful when you band around terms like troll. Though clearly some exist - SandySadler being one who deservadly got banned. But if you start banning people cos you think their boxing opinion is naive or simply not agreed with by the majority, then this site will become hugely elitest and boring. I for one would not remain a member of a site that censored according to the subjective opinions of others. Like I said, if someone is aggressive, threatening, abusive, racist... then get rid of them, fair enough.

Boxrec has been pretty much self moderating (from when I first posted) in that posters have generally been respectful. It seems to me that banned posters from other sites have come on here to continue their online spats using the substance of the game as a battling ram. That all said, a bit of friendly banter is always welcome as long as its not too intentionally offensive.
