YOU LOT ARE UNBELIEVEABLE.

Before Hatton boxed Mayweather I went out of my way to start a thread stating he was a con man, who was sickening me with his 'mate next door' bollocks. I wanted him to get knocked out.

If I remember correctly, a good few of you told me I should be supporting him, telling me I was unpatriotic.

What has changed your stances? Is it because he was beaten. If he had won against Mayweather, would you all be completely behind him still?

Then again, I guess I should just give you all the benefit of the doubt and assume it is because he has just got even worse recently and made it even more obvious!

Actually, I have just read back through that thread:

It seems more of you agreed with me than I remembered! It's that stella again!

The thing is, we're all knocking him (and rightly so). But he's sold 50,000 tickets for this fight, and will doubtless sell shitloads on PPV. Us lot, who know Lazcano is a cack fight don't see it as a thank you. Thousands of paying punters do.

We all followed Hatton as a boxer. Now he's pretty much a brand. He's rewarding the people who jumped on the bandwagon late, who don't know any better. To them, him fighting in Manchester probably is a something to get excited about. The fact that he can sell 10 times more tickets for this bout in an hour than the likes of Witter and Froch can do for a proper nights boxing tells you something.

He's still going to be making a mint out of fighting a sub standard opponent dressed up to be something he's not.

The fight might be on at a better time but you've got to fork out nearly £15 to watch the bloody thing.

i agree that ppv for this fight is poor form from everyone involved really.

but hamed was also always on ppv once he got to that level of popularity.

so hatton isn't the first.

team hatton did insist on the early uk start time though.

can't fault em there. :TU:

But, then he mentions NAZ!

WTF has that got to do with anything?

He should just say.

HATTON VS LAZCANO ON PPV IS A JOKE and not excuse it because it is on at time to suit the UK.

THE REASON IT IS ON AT TIME TO SUIT THE UK IS BECAUSE HE WANTS TO GET 55K THROUGH THE DOOR AND CHARGE THE PEOPLE AT HOME £15.00 TO WATCH IT.

If it were on at 4am - the ppv numbers drop and so does the attendance.

Wake up mate!

In the build up to the Mayweather fight, every Hatton interview consisted of him saying phrases like:

"...skinny lad from a council estate//my two best friends, Mr McDonalds and Mr Guinness// I was flattered when I won the Bvvitish title, let alone fight the best pou-per-pou fighter in the weeerld"

He claims to be the genuine one but he plays up to the boy next door image so much that he's actually coming across as fake.

He says he won't fight Witter because he's boring but then signs with Lazcano, who is hardly the second coming of Tommy Hearns.

AND will probably earn Hatton less money that fighting Witter would because of the domestic interest it would generate.

I never thought I would say this about Hatton, but he is CHEATING his own fans by refusing to fight Witter.
