Few fighters had the profile or following of Collins at the time of the Eubnaks fights - what was the biggest crowd he drew in Ireland? Not 82,500 anyway...

It might take a card to include Duddy, Lee and Dunne to fill Croker.

Maybe this is a fight he believes could go to a bigger venue and as he has the Champion he can also do a deal with the Champion and put in an inflated bid which is common practise in boxing, but looking at the EBU Ratings is only ranked third so he may have a long wait to get to the mandatory position and the mandatory position is every nine months from the date of his last mandatory so when was his last mandatory and when will he fight the Spaniard who is next mandatory so it will be 9 months from the date of that fight providing Munroe is successful and you can bet minime Maloney will make him wait the full distance If he cannot do a deal beforehand.

Because RTÉ is the main terrestrial station over here and actually put quite a bit into boxing unlike SKY nowdays . If it's not Ricky Hatton nowdays then Sky don't want to know and will only do local stuff . They wouldn't even pay for Haye v Mormeck after building Haye up for years .
RTÉ have been able to get over 500,000 viewers in the past for Dunne fights, that's extremely profitable for them and at a guess I'd imagine a lot more profitable than the numbers Sky would do .

RTÉ showed Kingsley Ikeke v Arthur Abraham Live just because Dunne was fighting a 6 rounder on the undercard .
Martinez was always going to be the next mandatory but it seems in the last month Simeone Maludrottu has slipped ahead of Dunne in the rankings . That's a bit ridiculous imo as Maludrottu is actually pretty poor and has never proved anything at Super-Bantamweight(just a win over Tuncay Kaya) . If Maludrottu was selected as the next mandatory after Martinez(who as I said should be fighting Munroe in the Autumn) , then and only then would I expect a deal to be done . Infact Peters may even decide to skip the European title if that happens .

I'm not saying Maloney couldn't put in a big enough purse bid to win, but such a bid would probably be so large that he'd be doing well to even break even on the card(and that's if he cheaps out on the undercard) .
