It's a typical anti-success British thing, anyone would think he is not the no.1 light welter and one of the best British fighters in recent years.
He has earned an enormous amount of money too, and is intent on making more which won't make him popular

I don't hate the man, I'm just not a fan and I think he is very overrated. I don't believe in supporting a sportsman just because they are British, if I like them then I support them, I don't like Hatton so I don't support him it's as simple as that.

Just to make it clear, if by beating Hatton, it doesn't make you a good fighter, then surely you must regard Hatton as pretty poor, and the people Ricky has beaten must worse yeah?

Hatton is a very good fighter, don't get me wrong, but he is hardly something special, or the Legend some of his die-hard fans make him out to be. He did one good thing, and that is do what many British fighters dont like doing, that is going Prime for Prime against the best, that was against Mayweather. We all know what happened then.

Hatton is good, but people need to stop kidding themselves.

I rate him at his welter division, since it's a dead once. He should have fought Witter a few years back, even then who has he beaten, passed it or over-rate fighters. Everyone, even Hatton knows WW is where it is. For someone who gaina dangerous amount of weight in between fights, i find the excuse "LWW is his Division, Not WW" not feasable.

The hispanic causin panic is well known by most of those who follow the sport...his fight againt Castillo is a good un...Lazcano was no bum.

Indeed he is no Bum, he showed that against Hatton. But at the same time, the pre-match hype made it out to be some tough test for Hatton, as if Lazcano actually had a chance of winning. I mean it was actually PPV ffs..

Not Hatton haters. I actually rate Hatton better than Calzaghe simply because he had the courage for going Prime v Prime against the Best. That was Mayweather. Even though he got KO'd, atleast he went against the best.

Calzaghe at the other hand has never gone Prime v Prime against a World-Class opponenet.

It all comes down to British Sports, every British athelete is over-hyped and destroyed by the British media, and quite often the "Fans" follow this pattern.

I'm not even interested in seeing Hatton anymore. Such is the way fighters are built up, the whole thing with boxing nowadays is that we want to see how good the built up fighters are, as opposed to seeing constantly great fights between two A class (but not Jones Mayweather type) fighters a la Marg-Cotto...that's certainly how it is for me anyway. The myth of Hatton has been debunked, and he's not as good as some thought he was...Him and Malignaggi are both good fighters, but they're not ELITE fighters. This doesn't even deserve to be at the MGM Grand.
