Cheers chinny. I didn't spot this until this morning, so my ticket isn't as good as it could be.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale at 10.00 EST on Friday. Meant to post on here but was in meetings (I managed to get my secretary to order the tix for me, probably beyond her call of duty to then post a reminder on a boxing website).There should still be plenty of tix on sale.

I think we all agree, given the chance RJJ can still be dangerous, but Joe will know and hopefully prepare for that. If the straight right lands flush who is to say Joe can get up, clear his head and carry on. Joes workrate should win him the fight but he must not be complacent. Jones may be past his best but his experiance and heavy hands must not be underestimated. Barring a huge upset 8 to 4 should be about right. Maybe Calzaghe wont be the first to climb Everest (Jones in his prime) but he will have climbed it anyway, and the climb is still not easy. I think most of us would also agree Hopkins and Jones would have been far too much for Calzaghe in their prime but they still generate huge money. and money in the bank is for Joe, every bit as important as winning, bearing in mind this may be his last fight.

The biggest concern for Calzaghe is that he has never -- ever, I think -- performed well against counter punchers. Jones is in my view a spent force, and I really don't lend as much weight to Jones's performance against similarly old and past it, but fatter, Felix Trinidad -- the 21 century version of if Larry Holmes had fought against George Foreman in the mid-nineties.

Jones is a spent force, and he'll lose against Calzaghe, despite Joe being on the slide himself. Frankly, though, if Jones has still got some movemnt in those legs, he may make Calzaghe look bad, but if he lets himself get bullied to the ropes and just covers up with a high guard, we may see a TKO.

To be honest I don't see this as anything more than a glorified sparring session. Jones' "run of form" is a bit of a misnomer, it's been manufactured in the same way Holyfield's was before he fought Ibragimov. Jones is shot, he probably still has enough about him to last the twelve if he gets on his bike but as for this being any sort of relavent fight it falls way short. It's a pension fight for Calzaghe who was never interested in facing Jones when he was at his best.
