:D
it all depends on this guys punch resistance.

i think he looks a sturdy sort.

he doesn;t give much away and attacks in bursts.

got a feeling khan may struggle to really get thru as he'd like. :box:

that doesn't matter though when the referee is anxious to step in at he earliest opportunity to gift khan a bogus stoppage win after one of his 'flurries'.

I think that Khan has shown great recovery powers from his knockdowns and from the wicked body punch Gomez landed on him. Agreed he can't turn things with one punch like Naz.

All of the stoppages have been justified. Wish people would stop nit-picking so much and critisizing the referees and Khan.

Not in comparison to Naz whose head would clear instantly after being floored by much bigger punchers. Khan was on queer street for several minutes after the Limond KD.

I also meant to add that Naz always rose at the count of of one, whereas many believe Khan should have been counted out against Limond. Absolutely no comparison between the two in terms of recuperative powers. He could be an annoying little git, but Hamed was a different class.

Absolutely true.

chesh wrote:Physically, Prescott reminds me a little of an early Naz opponent, Daniel Alicea, who was lanky and undefeated with a high KO %age. He was the first to deck Naz and did so in round 1 by utilising his long reach, only for Naz to starch him in the second. Khan, of course, doesn't have Hamed's recuperative powers or his chilling finishing ability, so, if Prescott were of a similar calibre to Alicea, things might get interesting. Big "if", though, as we really know bugger all about him!
Thats the thing we dont know anything about this Prescott. As you pointed out to me his record is rediculous when you examine it so on that basis Khan should win comfortably but a lucky punch could bring an upset. We know its extremely unlikely but if Khan is over confident and sticks his chin out Prescotts CV could look brilliant.

Jorge, wearing pads, hits Khan in the face whenever the Commonwealth lightweight champion forgets to keep up his hands or every time he fails to move his head.

It's the only way Wazza could meet his demands.
That's why his record will become more and more padded.
Wazza can't risk his cash cow.
After all, who else has he got ?

Poor Fwank........so he is passing the buck on this shambles already?

Could be another Bernard Dunne/Kiko Martinez fiasco.

No one knew much about Martinez other than that he appeared to have power and he floored Dunne 3 times within 1 round.

Precisely cannibal. It strikes me as amusing that everyone on here is writing off Prescott, when Khan was floored and hurt by a shot domestic fighter last time out.

This time he's in with a hungry, undefeated puncher who is going to come in and put it all on the line. Even if Prescott is limited but tough and can hit with at least the power of Limond, he has a great chance against a guy with no defence, no chin and no power to get him out of trouble.

Personally I think Prescott last past the halfway point - we know Khan's power isn't upto much past domestic level so the early blow-outs will be less and less likely as his career progresses. I figure Khan for a late stoppage or even points.

No power ?

funny it's the same guys writing of Khan and the same guys who thought Khan would be owned by the likes of Limond, Earl, Kristjansen yet he managed to KO them all.

yes, no power. Earl was totally shot and chinny anyway. Gomez was past it too and Kristjansen was just a bum (who incidentally had his moments against Khan! LOL!)

Now hes facing on paper the best guy hes come up against, who looks solid and tough on youtube. And that's enough for me.

MY PREDICTION IS THAT BREIDIS PRESCOTT WILL KO AMIR KHAN AND I WILL LOOK LIKE A GENIUS WHEN IT HAPPENS

If Khans wins the 'so what he thought a nobody'.
If he struggles or loses 'he's crap he's just struggled / lost to a no-hoper'

Difficult position me thinks.
