Why don't you email him on his website - I am sure he will get back to you.
You question Hayes longevity within the sport - you are right to as I did as well, and, by christ I was answered big time not by small talk but by simply opening my eyes and seeing what is going on behind the scenes - Hayes own career path as well as his new promotional firm.
If you notice Hayes career path it would have been a lot longer if he was prepared to take the route of padding his record with endless meaningless fights - look how long he has been a professional boxer - look at what titles he has fought for - and now look at what fights he genuinally wants to fight in, and, is presently negoitiating for along with his manager and trainer Adam Booth - bear in mind Haye could have stayed at Cruiserweight and earnt a fair amount of money but he chose to step up to the mark at Heavyweight.
But regardless of how long his ring career will last for - I am totally convinced that Hayemaker Promotions are here to stay - some will doubt that - however how many other boxers have we seen start a promotional firm & actually achieve getting a TV contract for the firm which does not involve himself boxing - Hayemaker has achieved that and will put on a number of shows on Setanta TV which will not feature David Haye - if Hayemaker actually get the huge fights this year involving Haye then watch the promotional firm get even bigger - look what Lennox Lewis did for Panix Promotions for a fair amount of time - albeit that went down the swanny due to "In house" problems.
Pocket - Regardless of how many questions you and others have concerning the longevity of Hayes career within the ring actually fighting - I am totally convinced the promotional firm will last a lot longer as firm foundations are already in place and the firm is growing as we speak with a decent stable of fighters.
Pocket - if Haye was to lose unexpectedly and decide to retire and not have his promotional firm then I agree British Boxing does not need that - but seriously mate - look at Hayemaker Promotions and watch them progress and also watch their signings!!!
I also have to add - I hope Maloney Promotions, Hennessy Sports continue as they are and Matchroom Sports carry on as they are - I obviously also hope Fight Academy get back into the fray somehow - because along with Hayemaker Boxing it will be great to see the stranglehold a certain promotional firm ONCE HAD on the sport well and truly broken!!! - it would also be great if someone like Steve Wood decided to join the fray - I have always stated he would make a dam good "Main Stream" promoter.
