Totally aggree, a real waist of talent but the combination of his age and god awful performances such as this spells an end for Harrison, hopefuly he made money out of it and will go on to do something useful like ametre coaching. He started the game too late and he didn't get the right fights at the start.

I was one of the first people on this forum to say that Harrison is nothing but a bum, and would achieve nothing at pro level. (my old account)

I always said he'll end up on celebrity Big Brother by 2010. It might actually come true. He'll be the first person voted out no doubt.

However, as someone who's been visiting this forum for a few years without feeling the need to post, it does fcuk me off royally when people who've never had the balls to step in the ring themselves are so happy to 'stick the boot' from the safety of their bedrooms.

FWIW, Audley does come across as arrogant and deluded - of that there's no doubt. But, personally, I think it's a shame that someone who achieved Britain's first Olympic gold in decades is derided so much.

Harrison will never be a world champion. That's a given. But I'd like to see him brush himself down, and find some kind of redemption by claiming a British title. Perhaps along the way he may even discover some much needed humility.

Either way, I won't take any pleasure in seeing an Olympic hero relegated to pariah status.

lots of posters have had some sort of amateur record, some are proffesional.

You have to respect Audley's amateur credentials... but lets get this right - amateur credentials... amateur = not paid.

The guy is a millionaire and he cannot fight - that makes my blood boil. His bank balance is surely on the par with someone like Micky Ward and far far superior to Emmanuel August. I'm sorry, but Billy Bessey might not have the talent, but he has more fighting guts in his left toe than Harrison has got in whole body.

The guy is scared, has not improved anything since Sydney - can still only fight affectively for the equivalent of 8 minutes and is a multi millionaire.

If that doesn't make you sick, then I am not sure what will.

the twat was going to win the british title within 5 fights if i remember correctly, im glad to see his demise, he robbed the bbc licence payer, and since he has robbed the trust that promoters have put in him, all this last chance shit, shame rogan did not KO him once and for all.

I know you want to progress with world ranked opponents in the new year - but please, the British boxing fans will forgive you if you take a backward step for one fight and take on the Olympic Gold Medalist from Sydney.

I stayed up till 4am to watch this man in the olympics - as an amatuer he was all big noise and excuses but didn't he shock us all when he won the gold medal in Sydney?

To be outpointed by Martin Rogan takes the bloody biscuit though! I looked at the results page on here on a snowy Korean Sunday morning and I have washed my hands of him - Rogan was made for him! It is obvious his desire has gone and he really should retire before someone makes the descion for him the hard and painful way.

You've been visiting for several years and never felt the need to post until people AGAIN start slating Audley Harrison for a disgraceful, lazy showing after promising the world beforehand?

You want him to keep trying for a British title? Why? He lost to Martin Rogan, Sprott, Guinn, Williams..

Last week he was saying he will be a world champ.

He doesn't have the stamina, the guts or the mental capacity. He has skill, but only used it in the last round. He's a waste of time.

And it's all his own fault.

What makes me laugh about this is, Harrison talks about this like it was a real gut check.

Lewis had a parallel fight with Ray Fkking Mercer, but won 96-95 I think from memory, Ray Fkking Mercer.

This cat lost to Marty Rogan. Who I respect but come on Audley.

Just say, "I wont the chance to win the British title before I retire." instead of waffling. Sell a fight with Danny, say, "we've both had losses but that fight has got something personal in it, it could earn a few quid for both of us and be for the British title, the oldest title. Thats what matters to me. Redemption would be beating DW for the British title, then retiring".

The saddest part is, I'm beginning to feel sympathy for the big daft bugger.

Losing to Martin Rogan is another low point in Audley's career. I openly admit that I am a "Audley hater", but it's simply because he always promises so much, then diaspoints his fans... Even most of his wins were slow, clumsy and boring to watch...

Audley should have kept his WBF title, when he give that up and lost his "British no 1" boasting rights, he just hasn't been the same since.... And I have abolsutely no sympathy for him.

Just last week, he told Setanta Sports, that he knows it is his "destiny to become the world champion"...

I remember watching him on his debut and thinking hese to scared of being hit to win a world title.

I gave up on him after the loss to Sprott.
His professional career has been such a whitewash it makes you wonder how he actually won the Olymic Gold in the first place!
At 37 where does he go from here? Hes further away from a world title now than ever.

Well we might as well shut the forum down now then, because it sounds like you are saying unless a poster has stepped into a boxing ring & thrown & taken a punch in anger, they have no right to have an opinion on any boxer?
