Just watched the 'fight'. Vidoz just flat out quit during the ninth round. It was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen in a ring.
They were both mauling each other for eight rounds and then Vidoz' bottle just went and he had to be persuaded by his trainer and the promoter to come out for the ninth. He kept telling them he didn't want to fight any more. Then in the ninth round he went out there and literally didn't throw a punch for three minutes. He walked around the ring, turned his back on Skelton, shook his head and basically sulked for three mins. I don't have a clue what was wrong with him. Italian TV went to a close-up of his trainer during the ninth and he seemed to have tears rolling down his face. Very, very strange.
At the end of the ninth, Vidoz goes back to his corner and they bring over Giacobbe Fragomeni from the crowd for some moral support. It didn't work. Vidoz just gave up. Bloomin Italians...
