Fury had to do at least something to big up his horrendously outclassed opponent. Terrible matchmaking for everybody except the far richer than he was yesterday Fury.

If Wilder or Joshua had lined up Schwarz the fume from Fury and Warren and all his support would have been immense. Yes he dealt with him quickly but he had no business being in there with a top level fighter like Tyson.
Dillian has called it for what it was.

You can't get more one sided then this fight but hey there is a lot of precedent here. Roper, Wepner, Coopman, Buddy Baer, Radamaker...and I could go on.

If Fury stays active and fights the best relatively soon, I'm happy.

Ruthless-RKO wrote: 16 Jun 2019, 00:43 He said he’d fight 3 times this year.

Last year was June - August - December

He’s already done June this year. August seems too close.

Schwarz ~ Seferi. Beat him quicker. So why not end of August.

He said 2 fights would be Stateside and 1 in the UK.

December is unlikely cuz Wilder is likely in Feb.
October is the month I've read/heard.

4th defence of the lineal title according to them. Ludicrous.

I tend to like Ironbeard's version of that so called title. "Linereal."

It reminds me of Hatton kept saying his fight with Mayweather was as for the pound for pound title

The corner were throwing in the towel at the same time Bayliss stopped it. Plus guy was outboxed, beaten and bloodied and stood up taking shots with no effort to throw back.
Didn't see the towel coming in.

Neither did I. Wasn’t thrown in, maybe they showed it the ref from the outside?

Taken from https://fightnews.com/tyson-fury-demoli ... -two/48029

"In round two, after a few slick combinations busted Schwarz’s nose, Fury unloaded a series of powerful straight hands with Schwarz against the ropes, the last three landing cleanly through Schwarz’s guard and dropping him to the canvas. Schwarz beat the count, bleeding profusely, but quickly got trapped in a corner where Fury unloaded with a series of uncontested haymakers with Schwarz helplessly covered up. Both the referee and Schwarz’s corner simultaneously moved to stop the fight to rescue Schwarz from further punishment. A jubilant Fury even sang some Aerosmith from the ring during his post-fight interview."

I would agree, considering what that had to work with.
It surprised me that the venue was an almost sell out. We will have to wait until the viewership numbers come out- if they release them- to see it it was actually a viable success.
The undercard was pretty dire, and the main event a horrible mismatch, so if it was successful- full credit to all those involved.

It wasnt a sell out, one tier not even opened.

OK, I did check the tickets available a day before hand, and 32 tickets in various areas were left. What I did not find out is total number of tickets for sale Vs venue capacity. :salut:

They sold out the areas they opened. Who knows whether they would have sold the other tier but they had all the fans together and close to the action which was the right call.

If they didn’t even actually sell out a reduced capacity, I think it’s safe to assume they wouldn’t have sold the other tier if they bizarrely chose to open it.

I thought they sold out the opened areas? If not fair enough. I don't follow ticket sales, I'm more interested in the boxing
