To me it more clearly defines why somebody is ranked where they are as opposed to simply saying "I have so and so ranked 7". I have him ranked where he is, and a detailed reason for having him ranked there. I'm satisfied with the results so far, and there have rarely been any major surprises or bad conclusions come to as a result of this ranking system.
I also just feel like it gives me a reason to continue to watch and take note Classic fights which was a hobby I enjoyed anyhow, and this list gives that hobby a purpose.

I appreciate that tiny. At this point I'm mostly continuing on with this project out of my own personal interest in where it goes as it continues to grow, but I'm glad that at least a few people besides me appreciate it.
It really is such a beautiful thing to be able to go to YouTube and just watch fight after fight after fight of whichever fighter you're interested in seeing. Man what I wouldn't have given to have that 25 years ago. I would've had even less of a Social Life than the one I already didn't have

With a record of 43-7-1 (31 KO's). Lyle competed in 1 Heavyweight Championship fight losing to Muhammad Ali, and thus having an 0-1 record in title fights.
He has 2 Quality wins (Earnie Shavers and Jimmy Ellis)
His KO loss to George Foreman was one of the All Time Great Heavyweight slugfests, so he only receives a -10 for that KO defeat instead of a -20 due to the valiant effort he showed, and the tremendous fight it was.
Andy Ruiz takes a 10 point tumble after his UD loss to Damian Knyba, amazingly he avoided a stoppage loss as he was completely out on his feet at the end of the 7th round.
He maintains his spot in my ranking, but with 10 less points to his overall score.
