Probably quite a big difference as the gate money in the UK isn't that large in the grand scheme of things. Ie you can have 12000 on attendance in Vegas and generate more money than the 90000 in attendance at Wembley for aj Vs klit

Ruiz is saying the fight will happen but only in the US, be interesting to see how this pans out. Could just be an angle for some of that head choppin money or maybe they really don’t want to fight out there.

I have considered that.

If Ruiz refuses the rematch that he technically already signed up for them he would find himself in a huge legal battle and possibly be unable to fight anyone for a year or more.

In that time he loses at least two belts, IBF (Pulev) and WBO (Usyk) both have mandatories lined up.

If that happens, I could see Joshua vs Whyte in an eliminator towards the end of this year.

Its not farcical at all ,, It will probably pull more money and no doubt Ruiz will benefit , if he goes through with it , and its a neutral ground , so considering Ruiz ,,, SIGNED the rematch clause for a set amount and a venue he has no say in ,, This scenario is perfect for him , he's gonna get more than he signed for and its a neatral venue , what more could he want ,,

I don't hate Hearn like a lot of people and I do hope that the rematch takes place.

But one would have to be naive to think that he hasn't already planned how to get those belts back to Matchroom if either Joshua loses the rematch or if the rematch doesn't happen.

A crack team of lawyers and a good relationship with a few governing bodies are probably just as likely to do the job as Joshua's fists are.

is there proof or indication anywhere that Ruiz will definitely benefit?

any sporting event in Saudi is a fvcking farce IMO, they've got no sporting culture at all and they are simply holding sporting events for a display pf wealth and power, like some tinpot oil-rich dictator from some country ending 'Stan' flying Celine Dion over for a few £million to sing for their birthday, its a sick farce and a charade where they try to pretend they're cultured and hospitable and well-adjusted, they're not, they're medieval, backward bigoted pudenda.

None of us know the details of the contract, so I won't comment on anything Hearn says except that there is a rematch clause which both parties acknowledged already.

Frankly, it's only a cautionary level except for some border areas far from the fight sight.

The US State Department only rates Saudi as a 2 out of 4 travel threat, same as UK, Germany, France, Mexico, etc...I wouldn't be going to them to support not fighting there.
