Hearn will not be allowed to promote the champ. Ever.
Yeah, he's massive in America....margaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 08:20 hearn copromotes da champ of the world, 19 fights 19 wins baby
Which people?! They could have easily avoided the fight if they wanted to - just drop the WBO belt.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 05:13People reckon they did everything they could to avoid facing Usyk.Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 04:30Was also ordered by the WBO, so not sure we can give Eddie all the credit for the fact Usyk was Joshua's mandatory
Yeah - the WBO deserve credit for having a top mandatory which isn’t always the case but the conversation was about biggest U.K. heavyweight fights in recent years and, regardless of the reasons why, Matchroom have promoted 90% of them.Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 04:30Was also ordered by the WBO, so not sure we can give Eddie all the credit for the fact Usyk was Joshua's mandatory
How can the WBC win this in arbitration if this is in their own rules?
Even the last clause limits it at 70:30. They're trying to give him less than a regular mandatorymargaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 08:57 well, look at that last clause, it basically says they can do whatever they want and that all the previous stuff can be done away with as they please![]()
Not quite sure why. It’s not like it’s Triller and there’ll be issues re: dates/non payment. If it does go to purse bids I’m sure there will be at least one silly bus and if it’s won by Matchroom then Fury will be silly not to do it.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 08:17Hearn will not be allowed to promote the champ. I agree tbh but it's a sad state of affairs that he'll allow his career to be stalled, derailed or whatever just out of spite, Fury works with Arum and Warren ffs, those 2 spend as much time I'm court than they do promoting, i get that Eddie rubs people up wrong way but can't recall him being sued or paying his fighters late, Arum publicly slags his own fighters for not being stars when he's been on charge of building them, Warren's a bitter man who can't accept he isn't number 1 in British boxing anymore, fact is Hearn made the undisputed fight with Joshua and Fury/Arum backed out without even attempting to pay Wilder step aside and I strongly believe they'll back out the Whyte fight, I get people like Fury and dislike Whyte/Hearn but surely as a boxing fan guys can't justify this bullshit, if you do then you can't convince me your anything other than a fanboy, hater and would probably be best off watching WWE for the outside ring drama if you've no interest in seeing good fightsmickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 08:17Hearn will not be allowed to promote the champ. Yeah. The one thing this shows is how the WBC just do what they want. It helps no one really.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 08:57 well, look at that last clause, dont it basically say they can do whatever they want and that all the previous stuff can be done away with as they please![]()
furys side and his fans are all about spite. they cheer for fury to sit around not fighting than to fight whyte, has been the same reaction for an aj fight too. their ideal scenario is endless wilder-fury fightshandsofstone wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:04I agree tbh but it's a sad state of affairs that he'll allow his career to be stalled, derailed or whatever just out of spite, Fury works with Arum and Warren ffs, those 2 spend as much time I'm court than they do promoting, i get that Eddie rubs people up wrong way but can't recall him being sued or paying his fighters late, Arum publicly slags his own fighters for not being stars when he's been on charge of building them, Warren's a bitter man who can't accept he isn't number 1 in British boxing anymore, fact is Hearn made the undisputed fight with Joshua and Fury/Arum backed out without even attempting to pay Wilder step aside and I strongly believe they'll back out the Whyte fight, I get people like Fury and dislike Whyte/Hearn but surely as a boxing fan guys can't justify this bullshit, if you do then you can't convince me your anything other than a fanboy, hater and would probably be best off watching WWE for the outside ring drama if you've no interest in seeing good fights
That's no aimed at you per se Mickey just anyone in general who thinks that way
Also apologies for using the word hater
I think he'd have a fair case claiming those fees back of they enforce 70:30.handsofstone wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:06 Wonder how much Whyte has paid the WBC cartel in sanctioning fees only to get regularly fcvled up the ass![]()
It's baffling, don't get me wrong there's Matchroom fanboys and PBC fanboys who are probably the worst of the lot but I just can't fathom how a fan of the sport can ignore the nonsense, I genuinely believe theres an agenda in America to alienate Eddie Hearn, Arum probably won't work with him again after ballsing up the undisputed fight, Haymon, Espinoza, Oscar, Ellerbe all despise him and would rather ruin their fighters career than work with Eddie, even of it meant a Matchroom guy fighting on one of their own shows they still woidl never allow itmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:05furys side and his fans are all about spite. they cheer for fury to sit around not fighting than to fight whyte, has been the same reaction for an aj fight too. their ideal scenario is endless wilder-fury fightshandsofstone wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:04I agree tbh but it's a sad state of affairs that he'll allow his career to be stalled, derailed or whatever just out of spite, Fury works with Arum and Warren ffs, those 2 spend as much time I'm court than they do promoting, i get that Eddie rubs people up wrong way but can't recall him being sued or paying his fighters late, Arum publicly slags his own fighters for not being stars when he's been on charge of building them, Warren's a bitter man who can't accept he isn't number 1 in British boxing anymore, fact is Hearn made the undisputed fight with Joshua and Fury/Arum backed out without even attempting to pay Wilder step aside and I strongly believe they'll back out the Whyte fight, I get people like Fury and dislike Whyte/Hearn but surely as a boxing fan guys can't justify this bullshit, if you do then you can't convince me your anything other than a fanboy, hater and would probably be best off watching WWE for the outside ring drama if you've no interest in seeing good fights

Those are not world level domestic fights.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:16 I enjoy being called a fanboii or whatever I get called. I was ringside in 87 and being again in 100's since. I dont think Eddie has been responsible for 90% of uk heavyweight matches? Who? AJ-Whyte? Did he do Dubious-Gorman? Dubois-Joyce?
Dubois/Joyce was a really good fight that people were really looking forward to. Dubois/Gorman wasn’t as no one really cared about Gorman before or since. Crikey - if Dubois/Gorman is the 2nd biggest non-Matchroom heavyweight fight then surely that tells you something.joshj909 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:22Those are not world level domestic fights.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:16 I enjoy being called a fanboii or whatever I get called. If it's British Vs British then it's probably Hughie Vs Sexton. Huge fight. Everyone in the world was talking about itmaverick23 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 09:58Dubois/Joyce was a really good fight that people were really looking forward to. What comes after this? Joyce/Takam? Dubois/Fujimoto?
You're right. At 41, allegedly was a bigger and better boxing promoter than Eddie Hearn when Hearn was 14.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2021, 12:54 Eddie didn't do Lewis-Bruno. Tell me the heavyweight fights he's done, Brit v Brit.
