How come?
This has controversy points decision to Canelo written all over it.
Billy ain't glass jaw Khan, and that's the last guy Canelo knocked out.
And so far, no pro has knocked Billy down.

Meh, I can see another Lara type fight. Maybe not quite as negative, but similar. The road maps to beating Canelo laid down by Floyd and Lara are pretty negative.

There's a real danger of a massive disappointment tomorrow night.
A potentially negative 12 rounds of nothing (Klitschko v Fury) with one of the least promising undercards within memory.
Perhaps they could liven things up a little by showing us the cards before the fight.

I'm trying not to get excited about the main event. A couple of the undercard fights should be worth a watch. But as you said, it could well be the largest US indoor boxing crowd booing and baying for Billy's blood. They ain't gonna be as polite as the crowd at the Lemieux fight

Yes and No.
He needs to make Canelo miss and then make him pay, a bit like Lara did for the first five rounds of his bout against Alvarez.
He can’t afford to play tig, like the Cuban did for the final seven rounds, because the judges will penalise him for his negativity.
I don’t think that Saunders can, or even should, engage with Canelo, because he’d be outgunned.
Instead, the Brit needs to make sure that the punches he can connect with are relatively meaningful, rather than simply “touching” the target.
Because rounds are scored completely different in the pros than the amateurs.

It’s kind of funny to see someone ignorantly criticise my words, without reading them, whilst pretending I haven’t performed any research, but then they choose to maintain radio silence out of sheer embarrassment after being proven wrong.
He doesn’t want to admit to his one gigantic cock-up, so he’s decided to become cowardly and pretend that he didn’t really write what everyone saw him post.

I think to win Saunders needs to jab and move, jab and move and pick 1 mabey 2 times a round when canelo chases a bit to strait to throw a 1-2 or a flurry then back on the back foot jabbing. Mabeyyyy the of right hook as he is stepping in but only if it’s really there.
For billy to win this fight I think he needs to throw about 20-30 power punches for the fight. fornicate all. Cause canelos counters are just to sharp to give him enough looks to figure it out.
Only way billy should throw more is if he starts negative and then canelo gets frustrated and tries and just fight front foot reckless, then billy will have to throw more to hold him off but that works for billy.
Can this win a decision vs canelo? There has been sooooo much talk lately about canelos judges that I can’t see them being to biased because it’s just too under the spotlight now, they actualy favoured Callum smith more than what every other person watching the fight saw.
(This is a stretch though, and I think if billy tries it he will get countered to the body when jabbing and countered hard when picking his power punches. But the only way I see possible )

People comparing it to the Lara fight, but I dont think Lara has a habit of fading after 6 rounds like Saunders does. He noticeably dips. He's able to get away with it against lesser fighters, but not so sure against Canelo.

canelo's come on a lot since then too, his skills are better than ever--- he's got timing, speed, power, excellent head movment, improved steak nutrition etc. he's also continually added experience vs top notch opponents with different styles and strengths., and i think prime lara was better than bill anyway
ppl seem to think of bjs as some masterclass boxer of the lemieux fight....but look at all the times he's barely scraped by.....split eubank, majority lee, 115-114 ryder, tough fight vs blackwell, easily could've lost a decision to akavov, 96-94/95-95 vs coeceres, shaken to his boots by isufi. canelo is far better than any of these guys.
canelo is levels above anything he's seen, saunders is just another dude for canelo

and as someone mentioned, maybe you, bjs has looked worse since moving up to smw. actually surprised there hasnt been more talk of that. i dont think it's his best division
since moving up he's had basically an even fight with the argie for 10 rounds, got hurt worse than he has ever before by isufi, and then decisioned totally shopworn murray. hasnt looked as quick or sharp

Canelo is surely better in many aspects, but Saunders can become a stylistic problem for Canelo, as Canelo had troubles with movers. Also, it's important to note, that Saunders often wasn't motivated enough and he prepared according to a level of opposition. The Akavov fight was the best example of him coming not prepared well, suffering from the weightcut and underestimating an opponent. So, there're some chances of Saunders bringing surprises.
However, I see it as a wide dec win for Canelo, too wide on the official scores, although I root for BJS.

Saunders looks strong too and he's bigger than Canelo. Probably it's just the hype before the fight but I would not be surprised if BJS will be a problem for Canelo.

He isn't going to outmuscle him inside or outjab him. It is tough to hit and run and win against alvarez
10 to 2 is my prediction. Maybe 9 to 3

100%.
saunders will be rendered unconcious, head bouncing of the canvas multiple times, legs twitching like apollo's in rocky 4, he will come to his senses fixated on a stretcher convulsions of pain still running thru his tortured organism.
his crying father will tell him canelo did it with a single BODY SHOT TO THE LIVER!
saunders is a clown, a weak ass bum, canelo a god walking amongst mere men, the sole saviour of frikkin boxing.
