Wow. The only chance I saw Povetkin turning it around was if he offered Whyte a brew inbetween rounds. Superb KO, but agree with others who said that Dillian hangs his chin out to dry and is always an accident waiting to happen.

Mark Tibbs must be enjoying his vino now. Rematch should be interesting.

He didn't need to take this particular fight but as I have said before he loves the PPV money.
Boy he must regret turning down AJ at THE Garden now. :brick:
Yeah he did the Alex Garcia thing, turning down the title fight only to get whacked in an interim bout for less money.

Why do they never learn!?

That's why heavyweight boxing is THE spectacle for the sport.

He was old manned, down and out 2 minutes earlier, it was seemingly a matter of time when Whyte would have got him out of there. Probably into retirement.

Then boom! 1 punch changes 2 career trajectories in an instant!

Thanks for update guys
Just saw the finish ! That was Razor Ruddock style left uppercut / left hook hybrid !!

Heavyweight boxing for you

A fair amount of extreme views on the board

Whyte isn’t a bum or hype job , he just got caught with a great shot

Neither is Pov a fraud because he had close ones with Hunter / Huck.

Styles make fights.

Feel sorry for Whyte In some respects, but he rode his luck against Rivas , Chisora and most of all Parker.

A very good night of boxing, made even better by Povetkin making it a profitable one for me! Another example of why we all love boxing.

If boxing is ever "comedy", that was it.

And on PPV. On Eddie's back yard....against someone old enough to be my dad.

Thank you Eddie.

Just like when aj went for the kill vs Ruiz? It’s easy to say after the fact but it’s always a tough call to make when to go for the kill. I don’t think POV was ever proper hurt.

I don’t want to be wise after the fight, but I never thought Whyte was close to being world class, he’s more of a gatekeeper to world class imo. He’s stepped up twice and been ko’d twice; he’d get outclassed by Fury and ko’d badly by AJ (again).
