Conor is still a good fighter, but not good enough to beat Tony imo
It’s not a wealth thing either. He’s just softer than the elite level guys.Guts wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018, 03:42Very true. For all his talk, Conor has shown a soft underbelly on more than one occasionRKY wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018, 03:39I'd back Ferguson, just. Mcgregors probably technically better but he has quit in him, Ferguson doesn't.Guts wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018, 03:10 I honestly think Conor would still have the beating of Ferguson. While Tony put in an excellent performance against Pettis, he didn’t exactly have it all his own way. Would have been a totally different fight if it was McGregor throwing back in there!
Diaz 3 is definitely the most likely fight for McGregor though
It's hard to say if he beats Khabib. Tony's last loss was to Michael Johnson. Albeit, it was a while ago now. Khabib's last loss was???
Understood, I don't think khabib stops him and tony has the edge in stamina. I don't think khabib can match his pace for 5 rounds. If he gasses against scarface it might be over.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018, 15:34It's hard to say if he beats Khabib. Tony's last loss was to Michael Johnson. Possibly. But what if Khabib is able to take him down for 5 rounds and maul him? Then the pace is set at Khabib's liking. It depends on who can implement their game plan. If Tony can nullify Khabib's wrestling with his own, and he comes from a wrestling background himself, then he can set a crazy pace and possibly wear Khabib down. But if he can't stop the takedowns, Tony ends up getting mauled like everyone else.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑19 Oct 2018, 15:37Understood, I don't think khabib stops him and tony has the edge in stamina. He won’t want any of these hungry fighters who are his own size imo. I think Ferguson would wreck him. Knock him outjujigatame wrote: ↑20 Oct 2018, 09:15 So will McGregor actually return to being a "normal" fighters who takes 2-3 fights a year now? Or is he going to disappear again like he did after his last big payday? He'd make for great fights against either Lee or Poirer but who knows if he will even take those fights.
Bet he'll be off the scene for a bit nowjujigatame wrote: ↑20 Oct 2018, 09:15 So will McGregor actually return to being a "normal" fighters who takes 2-3 fights a year now? It's not a win at all if you give half a shit about the legitimacy of the sport and the best fights being made.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑28 Oct 2018, 21:13 I love it, been over that guy for a long time and he'll make a lot more money there. Win/win.
Not released, traded and everything I've read said DJ's team were the ones who suggested it.jujigatame wrote: ↑28 Oct 2018, 20:34 I cannot believe the UFC released DJ. It's an absolute disgrace.
