The most likely earliest date for Usyk v Fury will be March 2024. If Fury wins, and he wants to pick up the £164 million for the 3 fight deal then that means a rematch. So then the rematch will most likely be in December 2024 .. if Fury wins that then he may retire. But from previous form its more likely he will try keep hold of the belts to use for novelty fights .. Jon Jones etc until he is stripped.
So once again the earliest anyone outside is going to get a title shot is summer 2025.
Things get tied up for even longer if Fury wins the first fight and Usyk wins the 2nd ... then its a trilogy. That means 2026 is likely when anyone outside gets a title shot.
Those contenders in their mid/late 30s will be reluctant to face serious opposition is my guess.

I think he will if it's for some of that silly Saudi money, it sounds like they are after that one last fcuk off payout, like when asked about Zhang, Hearn keeps saying if it's at the birds nest in Beijing etc. Westher those offers will come is another matter.

It’s been 13 and a half months since Usyk-Joshua2. Usyk has been offered the fight twice. First time he pulled out injured and the second he walked away in the hope of a better deal from Saudi.
Toneyvs and the rest of the Knitting Circle have chosen to slate Fury on a daily basis yet have little to say on Joshua not facing Wilder in over 7 years.

Fury offered the to fight Usyk at the exact dates Usyk said he wouldn't be ready .. coincidence?
Then again offered the fight .. but with a silly condition to scare Usyk off, then started making even more sillier demand after Usyk agreed. Usyk predictably didn't want to waste more time so walked away.
What with Joshua v Wilder when discussing Fury v Usyk??

Fury refused Usyk a rematch clause in April, but has agreed to one now. Tells you everything you need to know. Fury could not fight in April.

Nope never believed they would have both fights on, why would they? They would have to find gazillions more and not sell many extra PPV fights. Both fights are huge on their own.

Nope never believed they would have both fights on, why would they? They would have to find gazillions more and not sell many extra PPV fights. Both fights are huge on their own.
I read a series of interviews with several billionaires a while back and all of them shared the same thing, it's not about the money. It's about winning and status. Who has a bigger yacht, bigger houses and doing things the other person can't.
The Saudi idea of the double header was essentially saying, 'look at me, I promoted the biggest boxing show ever'.
