Summons issued by US Court against Daniel Kinahan according to story in Irish paper the Sunday World. The report states that a guilty verdict can be issued if reply isnt received within 21 days. Bit crap with technology, so cant include a link.

Agree that the initial case itself doesn’t amount to much, just contemplating the possible effects of having the summons printed in the Dubai papers and a US court viewing evidence (or allegations) that Kinahan is still involved with MTK when reportedly on a list of narco terrorists. Would very much assume that he isn’t going to the US to fight the case, so potentially this is going to be found against him.
That being said, it could all go away with a big pay out (and money clearly isn’t a problem) so may all come to nothing. Just thought it worth keeping an eye on.

Nah the US are different when it comes to drug bosses. They won't take pay offs... all part of their so called 'war on drugs'. They've gone after El Chapo and Escabar in the past

Boxing in ruins in Ireland because of this crap. I believe this trial is nearing the end, attempted murder of Katies father Pete and the murder of another innocent man at the gym.

He's teflon as long as he stays in Dubai, his little buddy Mr.Big in Dublin has been singing like a bird to the cops, all his competition disappearing, no moves against him from the cops but plenty against his rivals, won't be names in the papers (John Gill)and the papers make out this guy is super smart and 'ruthless' lol, he's a tout, the Kinahans can never come back to Ireland

Many people think gangster shows glorify violence and 'the life' but a lot of them are actually warning signals, David Chase had to add a few more gritty scenes to the Sopranos, including the brutal beating to death of a pregnant teenage prostitute because he felt the audience were starting to see the guys as just ' some of the boys' rather than the sociopathic maniacs they are. Many audiences felt the scene hard to watch, Chase responded well that's what these guys do, they are ultra violent unstable sociopaths

If you want a laugh try to find the leaked text them planning a hit with some low level members,

'So do I wait for himthere'

No he should show up in a van and you cycle up, do him and get out of there'

'But what if..?

Just get off, do him and leave '

'But but but, with the weather and traffic it's gonna be hard to get away'

'fornicate sake he's not up to this'.

He did pull out, and the second hired hit team got lifted

By and large they have been great for boxers. There are always going to be people you don't like in boxing. Hearn comes across like a w*nker to me. Wazza has been accused of not paying fighters etc. MTK treat the fighters well. The only downside is the impact on boxing especially in Ireland where the authorities will not sanction a boxing match. If you leave things to Hearn and Adam Smith you get Bellew Cleverly on PPV and other dross, basically showing contempt for the fans.

They treat their fighters well high? Wonder where they get the money for that, Frampton had no advisory charges at all? Good for boxers in the sense that he has enough heroin money to give them some coin, but the man is the head of an international drug syndicate with a body count a mile long

Promoters aren't trusted because they tend to be greedy liars, but this guy has a mixture of a love of boxing, and deep deep pockets from his drug and weapons dealing empire, he's not just a liar , he's an international gangster who has killed many innocent people, where do we draw the fornicating line? I mean they work with Saudi Arabia so of course money talks

You're making claims on Kinahan that haven't been substantiated. How can someone run such an organizational and have zero convictions? What innocent people have been killed? I know some innocent lads did get shot in mistaken identity which is horrific but it was mistaken identity. It wasn't like they went out to get innocent lads as far as I know but I am willing to be corrected.

If people are in the drug game then they know the lifestyle they are in. And by the way Jamie Moore was shot and almost killed and according to the papers that was meant for Kinahan. If someone has tried to shoot and kill me I would definitely take exception to it and I'm sure everyone here would do the same. And I'm only indulging in your allegations which are unsubstantiated. The man has been great for boxing and that's a fact.

You seem to brush off innocent people being shot by mistake quite easily, which is a strange point of view. If people weren’t spraying bullets around indiscriminately this wouldn’t happen at all.
It doesn’t affect me directly as I don’t live in Ireland or associate with crims, but must be an issue for the poor sods who live in the same areas as this lot and who risk getting holes blown in them when they decide it’s time to start blasting each other.

Kinahan is the last senior super-cartel member not currently in jail after Richard ‘El Rico’ Riquelme Vega got 11 years for drug trafficking in the Netherlands last month. I would imagine the net is gradually closing in. Extradition has been used from Arabic countries before if prosecutors feel they have a good enough case. It would be surprising if the authorities don’t catch up with him sooner rather than later.

I'm sorry if that is how it came across. I definitely don't brush off innocent people being shot at all. It's terrible. Point also taken about the effect on communities. This is why I would rather see drugs legalized. I have more sympathy with the innocents who get caught in the crossfire than I would have for someone who went into a dispensary and bought heroin and died taking it.

That’s certainly not a fact. He’s been horrendous for boxing. Just because some fighters have taken the blood & drugs money & speak highly of him doesn’t change the real fact that Ireland isn’t having any professional boxing because of him.

He’s killing boxing over there. Unless Irish fighters are really talented & can get picked up by an American or British promoter they’re basically facing a choice of either sign with a murderer or get out of the sport.

How can a young Irish boxer ever build a following whilst Kinahan’s involved in the sport? They can’t do shows at home. Barring a few heavyweights & big names most of our boxers do well because of an initial hometown support. Imagine Warrington, Froch, Crolla, Bellew, Brook, Burns, Ritson, Coyle, Fielding etc. without hometown support. They wouldn’t have had careers like they had. They might have even drifted away from the sport.

Grab a copy of Pablo Escobar - Beyond Narcos - The full story untold by Netflix by Shaun Attwood.

It's a real eye opener for anyone who thinks the War on Drugs was and is a simple case of the US authorities putting their foot down. The involvement of various Presidents who turned a blind eye, supported drugs supply and importation in order to suppress the alleged march of communism in associated countries shows Pablo and Chapo were just pawns in the game.

Most Irish fighters are getting out and making a few quid on shows regularly. Yes it's terrible for the Irish public but the fighters themselves are doing OK out of it.

You speak as if it's fact that there is blood and drugs money involved. If that is the case, as far as people taking the money goes, its just human nature. They'd be the first people to come out and be against drug dealing. When it profits them they turn a blind eye and pocket the money. This is one of the things I love about it all. Totally exposes the sheer hypocrisy and true nature of some people. IF what you say about the blood and drugs money is true of course.
