Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
It was. Been saying for years that these lickspittle cowards floating around MTK will harm boxing. This documentary harms boxing.
I would be in favour of capital punishment for heroin pushers and those who aid them in any way.
Kinehan and his mob have balls and that's more than most but I don't think they should be given any quarter, and they are.

Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
Darragh is a cheesy fornicator always overdramatising his crime "documentaries" and pussyfooting around the people he's interviewing (a guy from a music website literally gave Johnny Adair a harder interview than Darragh) but the grasp the Kinahans have on boxing is absolutely stomach churning, Mick Conlan got all that crap for playing that stupid Wolfetones song at one of his fights, but the fact that he is actively promoted by a group that has left a trail of bodies all over Europe in a CURRENTLY ONGOING GANG FEUD gets comparatively very little heat, Frampton too, going from scumbag McGuigan to a bigger bunch of scumbags in the Kinahans, they are mass murdering heroin dealers for christs sake

This should be interesting. It could really be damaging to quite a few people in boxing. Said it before but history will not be kind to many involved in this era of boxing.

Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
What harm are they doing. They seem to be killing guys who fully buy into the lifestyle and know the risks. Don’t see why boxing should be alone in turning down massive investment from these guys.
Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
Get over to Dublin and into some of the estates there. They are ruined by drugs. Yes, those on them have chosen to get on them but bigger picture is those in society who suffer as a result e.g. families, victims of crime by addicts, etc... if you don't already know this you are thick. That or trying to act hard.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 13:35 What harm are they doing. They seem to be killing guys who fully buy into the lifestyle and know the risks. Hope your nan never gets burgled/mugged or, worse still, a close relative becomes an addict.

Neither to answer your last point. If these guys aren’t doing it other guys will step into their shoes. Boxing taking a unilateral stance and refusing their money won’t make any difference at all to the societal problems you describe.Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 13:55Get over to Dublin and into some of the estates there. The govt would rather have a handful of Mr Bigs running things who they can keep tabs on rather than have a Wild West free for all hence guys like these usually seem to stay a step ahead of law enforcement agencies.

I always thought that drugs should be legalized. Once you do that you completely take away that revenue from the gangs. It's not like it's hard to get the likes of cocaine or heroin if you want to get it anyway.

Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
Which drugs should be legalised?
Marijuana probably
Coke, possibly
Crack?
Heroin?
Synthetic opiods?
Spice?
Also, if some / all of these are legalised how would they be distributed? Pharmacies, supermarkets, cafes a la Amsterdam?

Weed, almost certainly, and I don’t even smoke it. Smack and Spice a total no no. Coke, maybe, most do it now and again but you will get some rocking it up. Alcohol.....?dr_devious wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 18:48 Which drugs should be legalised?

Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
Maybe. Maybe not. What about Mobutu’s record of official murder, rape, arbitrary arrest and routine torture at secret detention centres? It’s not really tainted the legacy of The Rumble in the Jungle.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 08:04 This should be interesting. It could really be damaging to quite a few people in boxing. Agree this will be interesting! Whoever is fronting the doc must have some cojones as these are serious people.

Legalise everything and sell it on licensed premises. Same as booze and tobacco.dr_devious wrote: ↑22 Jan 2021, 18:48 Which drugs should be legalised?

Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
i dont want to talk anything up or down, but everything that has money there is crime behind it , look at the football clubs in england the blue team from london wheres his money come from, the manchester team how much blood is on that oil money, yea 2 wrongs dont make a right but were kidding our selfs, iam not even gonna mention the boxing promoters who were coming up in the 80s 90s pretty sure they were backed by the biggest gangsters in london at the time , i mean aj is the biggest boxer now ,and says he sold drugs and has a criminal conviction iam not digging him out personaly for that, its just the hypocrisy of the media, and of course you dont want to see crime glorified and it does reap havoc on communities, but why is it ok when mega rich politicians do it , clean it all up from top to bottom or shut up

Yeah like that guy who was murdered because he was pictured standing beside Gerry Hutch at a funeral, so in turn that would make every single boxer who signs with Kinahan a legitimate target to their enemies, yes?

Mr Big is so obviously a police informer it isn;t funny, so yes, the government will let murderers run wild as long as they are informers (something the North would know a thing or two about)
Doesn;t help the communities that they flood with their garbage though does it?
What if Jamie Moore hadn;t survived being shot?
What about the schoolchildren who saw a guy get his head blown off in front of them (shot 8 times and at least 5 times in the head to be specific)? The teachers had to cover the car with their coats to stop his son seeing his dads body
No, I;m afraid not all of the victims are "people who know the risks"
Re: BBC Panorama - "Boxing and the Mob"
I rather suspect intelligence agencies rather than police but your point is valid. You are, of course, correct about the North too.
