Looks like Baby Joe Mesi. Looks like Ortiz isn't the only person to find the fountain of youth.

A little bit! 1909 if that's correct must be Al Kaufman. It certainly doesn't look like how i would have guessed. I always wished this fight was filmed. That looks a whole LOT like Luis Ortiz! The face is perfect.

It was a decent card, the main event was a bit disappointing since no ko but it was entertaining enough. I had it 113-112 for Ruiz Jr. I hate how they keep overlooking Helenius, but he'll show you...

De Los Santos is my new favorite fighter.

It was a bad performance from Ruiz after all expectations. The fight itself was even, I scored it a draw without the knockdowns. Ruiz could KO Ortiz anytime, but on the other hand he chose a right thing not to push forward, cause he was slow and quite defenceless, he could be caught easily. If Ortiz was younger and his chin wasn't broken by Wilder, he would deal with Ruiz handily. Andy is a very limited fighter.

Who is the white fighter?
Victor McLaglen, later an Oscar-winning actor who worked with John Wayne and director John Ford.

Interesting story but after Johnson had defeated Burns he was supposed to come back to England and defend the title against Sam Langford, since that was the agreement Johnson made with the British Sporting Club that made it possible for Johnson to even get the title shot against Burns to begin with.

But he had no intentions at all of defending the title against Langford, and instead went to Canada and fought former circus strongman turn boxer turn actor Victor McLaglen in an exhibition bout. The first of many "white hopes" to come down the pipe for Johnson to fight.
