It’s a pure guess re: how many buys they might have had in the U.K. I genuinely don’t remember a PPV in the U.K. in recent years with less buzz/publicity about it beforehand which is such a shame given how good the fight was.KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 04:50Are you sure that is the world total and not just the BT one?maverick23 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 04:40I get that PPV was probably the only way to make it work and pay them what they want but if it was only bought by 150,000 people, and it clearly didn’t generate much press, then it’s not going to help make be as big of a star fighter as he probably deserves.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Sep 2022, 04:29
Considering he missed out on having DDD-JJJ as a PPV.. he wasn’t gonna let this pass.
Also, PPV was probably the only way to make the fight..
They made the 100% right call with the Dubois fight not having it as PPV, Joe had good momentum after that but it wasn’t really capitalised on.
You can't get BT outside of the UK so Sky Box Office carried it in their territories and didn't FITE have it on their platform for America and the rest of the world?
