Femi will let that slide for a few quid, he's proved that. Not sure, though, in answer to your question.
But that's my point. We're boxing nerds and even we can't answer it. The whole thing is a bit of a mess.
Spencer reckoned they'll all be on the table at the presser.
Yeah, but I wonder who'll be the lead promoter,

Eddie has said it's not signed yet. I think that was three days ago, maybe four.

People here hoping Eddie and Frank won’t earn a penny from this need their heads checked.

Frank is known for having contractual agreements water tight and Eddie has AJ signed up for the rest of his career so while they won’t be making money as promoters they will be making a shed load via commission for sitting on their arses by the sound of it.

Anything to do with this fight, i don't really take anyone's word for it.

When its formally announced, it will be by Turki. He always tweets the fight announcements. Until then, it's all noise aint it.

‘It’s disappointing’: Eddie Hearn admits Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua likely headed to America

Eddie Hearn seemingly won’t be able to deliver the UK’s biggest fight to its home fans.

While there’s been talk of an impending official announcement of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua with an actual date and location, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says he doesn’t believe any real announcement can be imminent as they’ve yet to agree to any changes in a contract they’ve signed for the fight. That distinction has proven to be a bit of a sticking point as Hearn has repeatedly said they’ve signed for the fight in the UK, but all roads now seem lead to America .

“It seems like everybody is adamant that the fight takes place in New York,” Hearn said. “I mean, there isn’t really any consideration, there’s no willingness to speak to the government, Sadiq Khan, Transport for London. It’s just like ‘we want to do this fight in America.’ Tyson Fury has agreed to do it in America, and we haven’t at the moment.

“So we’re talking through a roadmap of what that might look like, to change the deal, and if they do all the thing that we discussed and agreed in principle, then I think there’s a very good chance the fight will happen in America. We’ll be disappointed but I can’t sit here and say to you — it’s like everything falls on deaf ears, right?

“You signed a contract to do the fight in England. Why don’t you do it in England?…‘No, Netflix want it in America. No, Turki Alalshikh wants it in America. No, no, no, no.’ So, our conversations are like ‘okay, well if you want it in America, this is what we’d like to change within the contract and you agree to that, we got a fight.’

“We don’t want to change the contract. We don’t want to change the venue or the host country, but we will talk to you — if you’re that desperate for it, we’ll try to find a way to help, but it’s disappointing. But it is what it is. It’s been going on for a month and they haven’t changed their mind and there hasn’t even been a conversation about the UK.”

The only part you needed to read from the press release above was "Turki wants it in America"
Neither Fwank nor Eddie have any say in it realistically.

To be fair what Mickey says. I couldn't give a rats arse about this fight. It's not something I think about when I'm looking through boxing schedule to see where my next fight is at.

I've got a few fights in my schedule and AJ v Fury isn't something I'm bothered about in the UK or wherever. It's an over the hill fight. I'm too long in the tooth to know who's ripping who off.

I'm not going to deny I will get my big screen out in the garden and watch it, but at the end of the day what ever happens, outcome and all ill fornicating moan the following morning complaining this and that, about the ref or judges.

You know I would be more interested in Eubank jr v Brook. To me that's more intriguing

It is a mess. The other day Warren was saying the location is down to where the fighters want it, no one else...

It was a quick line, and Warren didn't linger on it at all. But given how very publicly Joshua's side has been wanting it in the UK, it would suggest Fury's side does not (even if he has been unusually quiet/non-committal on the matter)

Who knows if Netflix are as firm on the location being USA as is being suggested

Were really only being told what they want us to hear , I do think Hearn is digging his heels in for a couple of reasons ,
1--- He's determinned to try and come across has the guy who wants to save the fight for the british public and score browny points for being the white Knight who at least tried

2--- And i don't know this but , it seems Fury is the least bothered , that in itself raises my eyebrows, something Pauly said in an interview sort of made me think , he said he can't understand why the fighters would want it in the USA because the tax system is structured to take a LARGE peice of the purse , now has i understand it the fights an equal split , so they both lose big money ,, makes it equal up to now , But Furys is'nt bothered , AJ and Hearn supposidly are , .

Netflix are pushing hard apparantly and right behind the move to MSG , makes me wonder does Fury have a side deal with netflix which will supplement his tax loss holding the fight in the US

Pesonaly i'm starting to have doubts its even going to be on ,, If AJ accepts Fury getting even 10 dollars more , its a sign he is beat before he gets in , Think theres more to it all than were told and i suspect its all about the dollars

But whats more besides having doubts its gonna be on i really could'nt care less , i would rather King Tut TUT pulls out his purse and gets us Dubois -- Moses , -- Agit - round robin

I'm old school. If I make a bet with someone, I honour it. If I make a promise, I do it. If I give you my word, I stick to it. If I sign a contract, I expect that to be honoured.

Eddie Hearn is not the one at fault here.

I don’t think Eddie Hearn gives a damn about British fight fans. His latest interview with Kugan is ridiculous. He’s talking about how unfair it is on British fight fans if it happens abroad. He’s taken fighters abroad for years. He’s had all British fights on undercards in Saudi Arabia that would’ve headlined over here.

Smith - Buatsi was one of the best fights of recent years & barely anyone saw it live as it started before the 3pm football games had even finished as it was that early on the undercard.

The reason he’s upset & putting his foot down is because of ego & not wanting it to be a Turki & Dana White show.

And the idea he gives a damn about the British fight fans is laughable.

There were two fights for Joshua that everyone wanted to see & they were Fury & Wilder & he didn’t deliver either.

He couldn’t deliver Brook - Khan.

He had Saunders & had Eubank as chief support on Joshua bills but couldn’t get them together for a rematch.

He couldn’t deliver any of the clashes between Macklin, Barker, Murray & Lee.

He didn’t deliver Crolla - Flanagan in a unification fight when the other side were up for it.

He didn’t deliver a Groves - DeGale rematch.

He didn’t deliver Warrington - Selby.

The only big domestic fight he delivered was Frampton - Quigg & we all know how long that took.

I judge promoters on do you deliver what the fans want & time after time he hasn’t.

He’s had some good ones where the fights been ordered like Froch-Groves & Joshua-Usyk but off his own back he very rarely delivers the big fight that the public are asking for.

EDIT - I’d also forgot to mention the stubhub carry on for years. They absolutely ripped off British fight fans

Potentially or maybe a lack of confidence in his fighter to win. Regardless he seems to be the common denominator.

Warren made Selby - Warrington, Shalom made Brook - Khan, Fury & Wilder managed to fight each other but Hearn didn’t sort Joshua a fight with either.

All makes sense now why Hearn has been on this pretend crusade of trying to get the fight in the UK. AJ fighting in America has bigger tax implications, so they are wanting more money for the fight to happen in America to compensate.

Not getting Khan vs Brook at the time he signed Khan was both mind blowing and rediculous. He specifically said when introducing Khan this was going to be route.

I will say though for some of these we can mention "the other promoter involved" and they also, sadly, have a list of missed fights.

For Khan - I think Khan always thought Brook was too risky when his name meant getting KO'd vs Canelo was going to make him more money than getting KO'd by Brook. Don't think Khan was confident of his chances, or at least thought it was going to be a huge test. I think any fighter who starts claiming they are "too big in star power" to give someone a fight, there is a part of them that thinks it could be at the very least a tough tough fight.

He wants a lot more than that, a lot not even involving AJ. Not sure publicly shaming the Saudis will help matters...

If Turki isn't gonna allow the fight to happen in England then he's in breach of contract, Fury's accusing Joshua of being greedy, if AJ had his wits about him he should publicly call out Fury for a fight in the UK put on by Frank and Eddie, that's if Fury is willing to take less cash, either way fck them all, they were never getting a penny of me anyhow
