I doubt mitrione makes excuses. He's not very good and highly paid. He should be happy.

Given the woeful state of MMA HWs, he's still probably top 20 in the division.

Tweet from Mitrrione:
Me losing was not because of my mouthpiece, it was because of my response to the situation. I always use the same one & lost it Thursday before fight week. Had an impression done at a West Lafayette dentist. It was shipped to hotel. First time I ever wore it was tonight.

Perhaps, I don't much care about any heavyweights in combat sports.

In a lawsuit against the ufc its just come out that over the last 6 years only 20% of the company's revenue has gone to fighter wages compared to Bellator who has forked out 45% of its revenue.

You have to keep in mind they've been spending tons on the Apex and several Performance Institutes. I am all for higher fighter pay, but from what I've read, while the majority of their fighters don't make Canelo type if money, the ufc roster makes more across the board than professional boxers. Plus there are incentives.

20% on the surface sounds like small money. But, how much is 20%? And how and where are the other funds being allocated? The UFC is in the middle of pioneering the entire sport. How much money is Bellator putting into performance facilities, tv shows, getting into other countries, etc as the ufc is? I'll bet the 20% the ufc allocates towards fighter pay dwarfs Bellator's 45%

Bellator is shite on the whole aswell. The matchups are trash a lot of the time.

I mean it took an eternity for MVP to actually stop fighting cans and then proceeded to get wrestle fucked by Paul Daley (lol) and knocked out by Lima.

Lol. Does he look big in person? There's always the talk about his size and how he's far too big for 170.

He’s a bit of a prick to be honest, posh too. Not many posh pricks can have a proper fight can they?
Total myth that posh people can't fight. A lot of them have a stiff upper lip, shoulders back doggedness that can serve them well in a pager. Particularly if they have played rugby all their lives at an all boys boarding school, or served in the armed forces.
When Haskell announced that he was moving to MMA, I assumed that it was an ambition of his on retiring from rugby. Then looking at this article on the BBC website, it seems that he was invited to fight for Bellator and it came as a bit of a shock.
Maybe I'm reading it all wrong but he doesn't sound overly confident or maybe he's playing his chances down so he doesn't look like a complete chump if it goes wrong. Dunno...

That doesn't sound a good idea. He must be naive and think being tough is all it takes in combat sports.

New footage of BJ Penn getting knocked out in a fight outside a bar in Hawaii doing the rounds. As a huge fan from the early days it really is sad to see BJ going down this path the last few years.

He done a Nate Campbell. He was playing with the guy before the free shots.

Has this guy got a drink problem? Wasn't ge fighting a bouncer of a strip club a few weeks back?

No ones invincible, you go around getting in enough brawl and eventually you will get yours.

Diaz/Masvidal is the main event for UFC 244 at MSG November 2nd. Dana is going to put a Baddest Motherfucker belt together for them to fight for.

Mak shows his stuff round 2. Sweet southpaw. Great feints and combos mixed with mainly low kicks. Ramos will have to try to take this to ground rd 3.

Mak hurts Ramos and they go to ground. Mak shows excellent ground control and clearly wins this. Mak is a very polished lefty. Very balanced, comprehensive skills.
