I disagree. I'd wonder why white Yorkshire nonces were any worse than any other regions or ethnic groups nonces.

It would be the reference to *nonce* that would offend me, not the white or Yorkshire reference.
As usual, it all comes down to the context.

I have to say,., I haven't heard the word 'spacker' used since I was in Primary School. Seriously, it brings back memories of me making occasional errors playing football in the playground and getting abuse!

Racist. Judging someone by their accent is no better than saying that the plight of the web toed sloth pigeon of east Honduras is less important than human trafficking.
