Well said

As for Gypsy Johns supposed fighting prowess: lost to Fogarty an ex rugby player, was old manned out of it by drug addict Malpass, put into a near coma by relatively light hitting Akinwande, and retired himself against Garber

Failed to score a single stoppage as a pro

Knocked unconscious for nearly fifteen minutes in sparring by Tom Collins who was wearing 16oz gloves

Battered from pillar to post for four rounds in sparring by middleweight Frank Grant (Gypsy was supposed to do six but ‘hurt his hand’)

Had TWO bare knuckle fights, first with little fat bloke who was at least four stones lighter, after forty mins fight was declared a draw when both were too tired to continue, second fight with local bouncer was stopped by Police after less than ten mins

The man is a complete and utter fantasist, given that fact this was Tyson's 'role' model growing up he can be excused to some extent for being such an odious b*stard

I appreciate that a forum is the exact place for the exchange of opinions, banter, criticism and venting. I do it myself, but is Tyson Fury really deserving of what's been put on this thread ?

He's a young unbeaten British heavyweight prospect. He didn't deserve the verdict over McDermott but that was a referee's decision. Somebody posted earlier that he doesn't have any fans and is very dislikeable, but I know several mates who follow his career and enjoy watching him box. He's only been a pro for a year.

We're all entitled to our opinions and maybe Fury will amount to something, maybe not, but that ex-pro at the Steve Bunce show seems to have a point.

oh dear this guy is unbelievable the sad thing is, he actually believes it all, how can he even say anything about haye, the best line was i am as fast and as powerful as him wot a joke,
and when he said he was toofit for the mcdermott fight, and has been winning 10k races, yea right, the only race he wins is against all his other deformed inbread brothers when they race to shag his sister, probly the only exercise the big hipped freek gets.

Fury talks complete bullshit. I think he has been a pro about a year now so he is still a young novice learning his trade. At this stage he shouldnt be comparing himself with David Haye and talking about World titles, he should be concentrating on winning the English title and doing it convincingly this time. I think hes very lucky to not have a loss on his record already, because no way did he beat Mc Dermott. From day one Fury lacked stamina and he still does. At a lower level when you are blasting people out in under four rounds, stamina is not so important, but when you step up in class and have to go the distance, its another matter entirely. I think dismissing Mc Dermott is very silly. If he loses to him, and its very possible, he will have a lot of rebuilding to do.

The fight before McDermott he was complaining he couldn't get sparring.

It's also funny how he was too fit yet the fat had gone up. :TU:

The guy's a prick, Haye should ask him to join him for some sparring, and teach the pudendum a lesson.

Haye did ask Fury if he wanted to spar when he was in training for Valuev and Fury was complaining nobody would spar with him didn't he?

Did we hear a response from Fury to that one?

To the guy complaining about the stick Fury is getting, I think it's more of a case of sticking up for one of the best boxers we have in this country when he is facing disrespect from a young fighter that is nowhere near his level.

I'm pretty sure that now he has had a go at Haye, that makes it every single heavyweight in this country that he has slagged off.

When all he has to back it up is a really disputed decision over McDermott, it's easy to see why people don't like him.

How about we save the racism word for real racist discrimination like some kid getting his head kicked in because he has a different skin colour.

Discrimination? Yes, I suppose so although in my personal experience the gypsies I've come across deserve the flack that they receive. Racial discrimination? No not a chance.

Actually, no, we're an ethnically distinct group.

Not sure to whom you're referring, but have a butcher's over here & here.

Or if you prefer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romani_people

& most of us do have a different skin colour. Most of my relatives are darker than David Haye, FFS (though I am dark blonde with what my girlfriend delightfully terms "weird-arse olive" skin).

Tell us more about that - I am interested in your experiences in Barbados.. :TU:

South Korea has a lot of anti-foreigner racism from a section of disgruntled natives (usually middle aged arseholish men called adjosshis
who cannot stand seeing Korean women with the evil barbaric waygook) China is a lot better but there is still an undercurrent of racism here. Still there are good people everywhere that make up for it.

Totally agree.

But me mum spoke Romanichal, so I can rocker a bit, & although it does use English syntax structure, when my mate speaks Hindi slowly, I can sort of get the gist of what he's talking about. Occasionally. Makes you think et cetera.

Fury is seriously deluded, I can see him getting knocked out in 2010. No wonder he's come out mentally subnormal when his dads constantly filling his head with lines like 'George Foreman and Michael Spinks couldn't live with you'.

What a tool.

Datuse always good to talk to you mate, interesting I never knew romany hailed out of india thanks for the enlightenment ;;-) :TU:

Carlos lots mate...its the usual some have a chip on their shoulder about stuff that happened 200 years go...though some of it stems from modern society.

An example occured yesterday when my mate was at immigration renwewing his work visa, everyone q-ing up and some guy busts through knocking an old lady out of the way...my mate who is white brit gtrabbed the guy as he went past by the collar to remonstrate and ended up getting rounded on as he was the only white guy.... by the crowd who had forgotten decency and substitied a race issue as in their eyes i guess they saw a white man mis-handling a black man and reacted accordingly....

Security gaurd had to intervene as he witnessed the lot. My mate was seriously shook up though it could have got real nasty.

Been in supermarkets when they have closed the till down - i have joined another line and they opened up the till to serve locals..

Being hustled for money and Drinks as an expat seen as a wallet by folk you know..more subtle but it happens.

Driving .............often dont get let out and forcibly blocked in when at junctions...little things but you notice it doesnt happen when you are in a car with a local workmate.

It all adds up but like i say i try and keep a cool head and rise above it.

But you are never in douibt you are a foreign person working in someones else's land. Never ever.

Very much a them and us out here Im sorry to say, I have some good local mates but few and far between.

Superficially people are friendly and fine but beneath the surface you arent really accepted.

Still Lond is also like that may not be particular to here maybe its just emphasised as Im in the minority....

Its still a wonderful place to work and live and great for the kids so its pros and cons....like anywhere i guess..i miss my real old friends and family though...sometimes its tougher than you would imagine...as you probably know yourself.

First of all, anyone making negative comments about Tyson Fury's heritage is just a prick especially as that has nothing to do with the interview he gave so no need to even bring it up!

secondly, the kid is just 21 so lets stop taking everything he says seriously...its just an interview and obviously got the desired headlines in the papers and got people talking about him again, its just hype and gets the public interested in him whether he deserves it or not. I always said he should have stayed amateur till the 2012 Olympics in London which would have really been a big launching pad for his professional career if he'd picked up at least a bronze plus would have given him time to work on his faults and get his fitness and body shape to a much higher level

Haye has hardly looked a world beater at Heavyweight in his last 2 fights and is no stranger to such bullshit....he spent months telling us all how he was going to knock out Valuev and how exciting the fight was going to be only to then run for 11 rounds...if you took out the 12th rd then his performance was absolute garbage and even with that last rd i still had him losing the fight but by then i didnt care who won as both fighters stank out the joint.

Fury is still a baby in Heavyweight terms and has balls to fight Mcdermott after only 10 months and 7 fights as a Pro and i personally had that fight at least a draw for Tyson...Mcdermott won 4 rds clearly, Tyson won 4 rds that were close but he won on cleaner hitting and activity and then there were 2 rds that could have gone either way. The fact is that Tyson deserves some respect for trying to have some tough fights and his Pro career is not even a year old yet so remember that!

The Mcdermott fight highlighted alot of technical problems he has to work on and if he can overcome these then a year from now i'd have no doubt he beats anyone at British Heavyweight level.

I see where your coming...Travellers choose to live the life style of a traveller but do they deserve to be called Gypo, pikey,Knacker. My Great Grand Parents,Grand parents, parents are travellers but i choosed to buy a house and not live in a caravan but im still a traveller,do i deserve to be called Gypo, pikey, knacker ? Because when those words are used in this Forum,i feel uneasy about it all.

Discrimination would be the prefect word for it.

"he'll have to get past my jab and right hand"

what the one u used to keep mcdermott on the end of.

tactics wise you'd have to say his only chance would be to put on pressure.

haye on the outside has got the skills over most i think it's fair to say. :bag:

fury would get owned whatever he did anyway. :KO:

Audley, Rogan, Williams, Sexton, Sprott and Skelton would all beat him. And McDermott DID.
I was going to say the same, shame he has felt the need to attack Haye and try and grab some of the countless headlines that David has been making when Haye has been fairly respectful towards him and was very complimentary about his fight with McDermott.

We all know Haye has been in the trenches and come through. I would be worried for Tyson if he truly believed all that he said. "I can match him for speed and power", sure you can Tyson, now good luck in your BIG fight this weekend. Also, let us know when you want to win the British title
Against who has David Haye been in the trneches and come through ?

The only one I can think of is Frogemeni - but he couldnt beak a egg otherwise Haye would of been scraped off the floor.

Mormeck gave him a scare with a knockdown but it was a brief moment - and not trenches stuff.

The only fighter to drag Haye into the trneches was Carl Thompson.

Haye has got heart and guts and is mentally strong.

But Fury is right about one thing - when Haye fights someone tough enough to take his shots and good enough to throw back - he does not shine so bright.

Valuev was tough enough but not good enough.

Enzo had too glass jaw but had power but was not good enough to land.

Frogemeni was tough enough to take his shots and good enough to land his own shots- but lacked real power.

Carl Thompson fight is still the blue print to beat David Haye.

People make excuses for Haye saying he blew himself out

What about giving Carl Thompson some credit for weathering all them Hayemakers and then throwing some back himself

Its like Thompson said once he started throwing shots back - he couldnt believe how easy it was to make Haye crumble.

Okay Flint you don't think him getting through after the heavy knockdown against Mormeck counts? A brief moment which had Haye all over the place. In the Fragomeni fight he carried on with the nasty cut spewing blood all over himself. Even in the Mock fight, Haye was all over the place but came through it to win again. Also in the Thompson fight, it was Booth who rightly stopped the fight, Haye was waving him in.

For Fury who has done jack shit and had one tough fight with John McDermott (which didn't include a comeback knockout) to say he can't be matched for heart is ridiculous

The Thompson fight is the blueprint?? Hardly, it was more rope a dope than anything and Haye wouldn't let him blow himself out like that again

Yep, with the point deduction, I had him losing his last fight. It's a shame he is riding high off the Fury name, he is a long way from being a prospect
