Can't agree with that. On the whole it's been much improved since the monopoly of one promoter got sorted. The promoters have had to raise the bar to get the dates. Let's face it, it couldn't have got mich worse.
Occasionally a bad one might slip through, as it did on Saturday, but I'm sure (or I hope) it's not gone un noticed.
I cancelled just over 2 years ago, and went back about 5 months ago when I noticed the standard improving.

I dont understand all this hate for sky. I see the nearest week for week boxing show to compare is espn friday night fights and watching both every week I know what match ups are generally better and more interesting for a british viewer, skys saturday fight night. If you add in the occasional mid week show and no extra cost fights of good quality from abroad I dont see how you can complain too much. Murray had his first fight in 10 months what do you expect a fight against a top 10 fighter thats just stupid! The bookies proved that they either no nothing about boxing and that records mean nothing because murrays opponent made a good account of himself and on that showing shouldn't of been 1/30 let alone 1/100! Not long ago there was a article about boxing fans never being happy referring to the groves degale fight and although I didn't agree with the article I do agree that some of you are never going to be happy. If murray went straight in after 10 months into a world title fight or even a eliminator there would of been tons of people moaning that doing that is completely unfair. The undercard wasnt too bad featuring billy joe and one of the walsh brothers. I think some people are blinded by reality and see the good old days as better than they were when in fact there was what people would consider as stinkers back then too

I have not been very interested in a lot of the Sky bills recently, they seem to be keep busy/learning fights for the champions rather than 50-50 or 60-40 types of fights. Things could be a lot better.

Murray's last fight before the Ouazghari fight was on September 25th 2010, which was just over 6 months ago. How did you work out it was 10 months ago?

Even if Murray had been out for 10 months, I wouldn't have considered him having a fight against someone good to be unfair.

The undercard was weak. Saunders' and Walsh's fights were not very competetive and we didn't see much of the Walsh fight anyway.

Considering traditionally boxing normally serves up the best fights after the summer rather than just before it's not been too bad and as far as I'm aware Sky have deals with certain promotors and so has to show a certain number of shows from each promotor and it is up to each promoter to try to put on as good show as they can when Sky say that they will have a show on so in this format like Saturday night it was Warrens turn to put on a show the problem is with a few high profile big shows coming up soon where he needs to provide boxers even big promoters like Warren must struggle. Before Saturday most people thought a definate early knock out for Murray but it wasn't to be, hindesight is a great thing but as it proved it was a lot harder fight than most people thought and it proved more competitive. Just like the Walsh fight, it was a good scrap, far better than was expected just a shame that they didn't show all of it.

Regardless of whether it was a 6 month or 10 month lay off it's still a long enough lay off for not to go in with someone of the top end of the rankings and a warm up is clearly what Murray needed, I wouldn't want to see Murray coming back from a break against a top rated fighter he's definately a type of fighter that needs regular fights.

The problem is with modern tv rights and contracts it means that it works out that programmes like Saturday fight night are to showcase up and coming boxers and then you have PPV's for established boxers it's not ideal but at least we don't pay as much for our PPV's as the states and we actually have quite a lot of boxing on offer on tv if you want to watch it with ESPN, Sky and Premier with the occasional show on Eurosport

Street Wars on Sky 1 put on better fights than "Fight Night" on Sky Sports 1.
