Why Sky Why?

Post by whicker »

How can they justify a show like tonights?

Murray is a 33/1 on (betfair) favourite against a nobody opponent (look at his record, what a joke) as the Main Event, and little notable support, which might not even be live anyway.

This is beyond poor.

Sky or allegedly, feel free to reply.

Sky should not be allowing it. Very poor show again from warren promotions. Seem to be saving competitive fights for ppv only!

I agree, it is a very poor main event and undercard.

What time does the Helenius vs Peter fight start? I think I will watch that instead if they are on at the same time.

Broadcast starts at 9.15. The German card looks much more interesting than this 40/1 nonsense.

Thanks.

Murray's last fight was a 30/1 type of joke as well. Murray's European title run has been weak.

I've seen odds of 100/1-on for a Murray win.

Its basically a showcase for Murray with Mitchell ringside so they can plug a fight between them to sell to us on PPV!

A fight with Mitchell makes no sense for Murray.

Murray should be fighting for a world title and a fight with Mitchell, great as it may be for boxing fans, is too big a risk, for too little reward. He's already on the cusp of a title shot.

It will ba good payday and quite a high profile fight in Britain.I bet FW and Sky push for it.I dont see it as a massive risk, either.

Why isn't Mitchell on the undercard?

He hasn't fought in over 10 1/2 months and hasn't won a fight in over a year. He needs a warm up more than Murray does.

Horse, good question.

He came across on Ringside as he wasn't sure about his future plans. He surely can't wait another 3 or 4 months to fight Murray?

Yes, Dioufy, it is a pathetic fight.

A main event shown on Sky should never really be worse than 4/1 (and that would be bad). This fight wouldn't even be a very interesting undercard fight. Absolute trash.

Hence why Mr. Image now doesn't have a Sky Sports subscription.

Did you cancel it because of this fight? Or because of the general low quality of their recent boxing shows?

Because of the low-level crap we get served up. Murray's been above 20/1-on ever since Meager, IMO.

Surely the Thaxton fight was alot closer in the betting stakes??
As someone said earlier in the thread i think Mr W is go to keep his even fights for ppv&i reckon we will be getting more of them(which is bollox)

The same Thaxton who was beat by Meezache and Glover? Nah, that fight was ridiculous. It should've happened a lot earlier. Thaxton was shot to bits, IMO.

If that's his game then I hope that other promoters get a proper crack next season. There are some class British level boxers about who would box till they dropped and do not get a look in.

The Khan v McCloskey PPV can stick it up their bollocks.

I'll have to watch DeGale v Groves though.

Do you know what they were then? In my eyes, Johnno had no chance.
