I thought the whole idea of us going into Iraq and Libya was to free the people and give them democracy. Why didn't they fire non fatal shots, get him out there and put him on trial?

Yup, good points. There are more cynical views on who was responsible for the disaster, despicable as it is. With ample evidence, aswell.

Its all there for all to check out. Never underestimate how low a human being can stoop. Governments, terrorists what is the actual difference?

So when its reported that Bin Laden or whoever is responsible for something, I never ever believe it. Governments have and will continue to lie, its what they do.

Having just watched "The Inside Job" nothing the greedy money chasing pricks in the corridors of power would/could do to further their own cause, would ever shock me.

We live in a society where a minority of people control the workings of the system, in order to feed their own greed, using the mainstream media, that they control, to sell any old crap to the public.

Greed is one of the strongest emotions known to man and alongside religion, has been the downfall of man for centuries.

For all Obama`s rhetoric about improving the lives of the average american, what has he actually achieved since his election? The gulf between the haves and have nots has widened, not decreased. Why? because the apparatus is in place to stop anyone making policies that will adversely affect those who benefit most from the system as it is today ie: those who earn billion dollar bonuses for bankrupting banking institutions. These corporations pump billions into lobbying and political support. It just wouldn`t be cricket to bite the hand that feeds you.

Maybe they did kill Obama. Maybe not. If so, why bury him at sea for christ sake, then REPORT that the DNA taken matched that of his sister, thus PROVING it was him? Yeah right. You hunt for a man for 10 years, then when you eventually catch and kill him without trial, you throw the evidence in the sea and tell the world through the media that tests on his DNA proved it was him.

There is no evidence at all. Conspiracy theory or not, most things are contrived for a reason and it saddens me to say that I simply have no faith in the integrity of certain governments whatsoever.

Money is at the root most evil so they say and I firmly believe this to be the case.

Agree that it's very fishy he was killed, identified and disposed of, all prior to being made public.

What would be the reason to hide the fact that he'd been killed if it happened a long time ago though?

It's mighty convenient for Obama, that no one is talking about the murder of Quadafi's grandchildren or the fake birth certificate any more..

It was a joy to see the American people celebrating when news that Bin Laden was now squid bait filtered through.

There's been so many po-faced people that have called radio stations in the UK pontificating about that, but they need to ask themselves whether they would have celebrated the killing of Adolf Hitler at the end of WW2, or the killing of the top man in the IRA in the 1970s etc.

I have no problems with the fact that many Americans were jubilant about the killing of Bin Laden.

At least they're honest & show their emotions, which is not a bad thing in my book.

They didn't want a land burial because it would have been some sort of a shrine to some folk.

I think they made the right decision; he's far better as squid bait than some sort of martyr with a shrine IMHO.

I think it is quite possible that Osama died years ago, lots of grainy videos and audio tapes are pretty easy to fake. Osama was the ideal bogey man for the US, a good excuse to go invading various other nation states.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I definitely smell a rat here.

Umm, you do know that there was never ANY evidence produced which linked him to the 9/11 atrocities. The American government failed to produce a shred of evidence. The only 'evidence' was a video tape which was widely suspected of being a fake, with Osama claiming responsibility - this after he had already released his own tape saying he had no connection with the event at all.

I'm not saying he was a nice guy, but evidence for him having any connection with 9/11 is very scant.
