Off Topic: Bin Laden Killed by US Forces

Post by Carbo »

Killed in a mansion outside Islamabad after a firefight involving US special forces, according to Obama.

Watching his live speech now.

I know this is off topic, but I thought that it was such a momentous occasion, given how we've suffered at this scumbag's hands.

Aye, there is no way he could have been living there without the support of the Pakistan administration. What a wonderful country that is.

He was killed years ago, this is just a plan by the evil Obama to gain support for re-election.

Exactly, hence why his body 'the evidence' was buried at sea immediately lol

Good timing for the reelection and to over-shadow the criminal wars in Libya and his recent dodgy passport.

You can already see the way this thread is going to go....... "its all a conspiracy, 9/11, 7/7, madrid, osama's death" :witzend:

In fact maybe it was organised simply to distract the media from Kate and Wills honeymoon destination......

Clearly, the ISI and some senor figures in the Pakistan Government knew exactly where he was.

Not sure about a massive conspiracy but it did seem strange to me at the time that Bin Ladens' family were allowed out of the US without being questioned in any way. Now I feel that it would be a normal thing for the FBI and CIA etc to do.

People seem to forget Bin Laden isn't some super human nemesis, he was a dying cripple 10 years ago, something wrong with his kidneys. If this is really him I'll be staggered that he's managed to evade capture or death as long as he has with these problems, but his body buried at sea immediately? nah all a ruse for the anti-freedom Princess Obama to remain in power.

Hear you Banjo. Early days yet and obviously a lot more facts need to be established, but this buried at sea lark strikes me as strange. So they killed him, took him to Afghan, then out to sea to bury him, all in this relatively short space of time? I'm not getting all conspiracy theory here, but from the facts available as I write this doesn't quite add up.

I believe he is dead whether it was years ago or now, otherwise they wouldn't announce it on this level unless they were absolutely certain it was him, I mean could you imagine the damage it would do to Obamas campaign if it turned out he was still alive.

x2

And the timing is perfect. Again, I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but the 10th anniversary of 9/11 is just four months away...

All a bit suspect.

Would have made a nice double whammy for Obama, whacking Gaddafi and Osama within a week of each other — when's the election?

Clearly there are elements that are ambiguous at the moment, but I personally don't buy the re-election argument at all as the timing in that regard is far from optimum - could have sat on it for at least another six months if that was the case and leveraged the momentum far more effectively to secure re-election.

I think the main election is in November 2012 but the campaigning is going to begin now.

You've to imagine that though Bin Laden was the figurehead of the organisation there will be many more, younger militant fighters with the same cause. I doubt that Bin Laden in his ill health was much of a mastermind anymore though he is a good scalp in any case.

Would Gaddafi count? There were many Western Governments and elite businessmen happy to deal with him, (I'm sure they'd like to see him dead now).

Wellington at Waterloo when informed that a clear shot of Napoleon was available: 'Generals have far better things to do than take potshots at each other.'

Times have changed.

Yes, now it's unmanned drones that fire missiles, remotely controlled from 1000's of kilometres away. The bravery and nobility of modern war!

Assassination against anyone oppressive is legal I believe, I'd love to violently murder the thief who created speed cameras. 8)
