I agree with nearly everything except the 3 year time scale, if Frankie does go the commonwealth/European route AND stay active (which I mean at least 5 fights per year) I believe he will only need two years max for world level, you mentioned khan as a comparison who if anything got to world level to soon ! Frankie is 27 already and though it's not old I wouldn't want to see him in a first world title shot at the age of 30 ! Only because the nature of the sport could could bring him down to only 2 fights per year and I believe that's not enough whilst at your peak.

Jessi, get your point, your right about Khan he did get there too early, I think Hatton did it at about 27, which is perfect, on Gavin, he wants to win the lonsdale belt outright, it could take him a year to do so, then he would need to win a the Euro title and defend it a few times, to get up the rankings, that would take him over a year, then Warren would want to get him to no 1 challenger for the title, so he could get it in Britain, rather then lose control in the USA, look at Kell Brook, he should have fought for a world title by now, it is not that easy to get a shot on equal terms or on your own terms, unless you go the Matthew Hatton/ Ryan Rhodes route, fighting for a world title at 30 is not a big problem for a boxer like Gavin.

that's true, some promoters won't work together, got a feeling it will be the same stable maybe Ronnie Heffron, but is Heffron ready ? Who else has Warren got at welter ? Al Harbi would be a good one if he can still do welter and Hatton would be the best match for Gavin, because he is known in the states as well as being a high profile name. Surely Warren's other welters are not in the picture ????

Didn't know Alexander fought witter. But I take comparisons from witter v Judah & v Bradley & I don't think Bradley is no way near a great champion & Ortiz is an on top fighter & bertos going backwards

hurlock, Witter is a much more a faded fighter then when he fought Bradley, he started to go downhill after the mauling from Alexander, Bradley put up a great fight against the Pacman, though he lost really, he is the right size for Gavin, but he is so mentally strong and would walk through Gavin's punches, Ortiz and Berto are very fast and hit too hard for Gavin, Judah outboxed Mayweather in the early rounds of their fight, lets not go too far at this stage, Gavin has won the British in a bad fight, he now needs to defend his title and prove he is number 1 at his weight in britain, add the commonwealth and then go for the european title, but the worlds best are too far away at present, he needs to fill out his body more and develop more power, evolve his boxing style to enable him to get in close without getting hit, use less energy, get some big wins under his belt against fringe world level fighters, then and only then can he take on the world best, this will take about 3 years at the earliest, providing Gavin don't get distracted again, but he won't do it unless he has a team of strength conditioners, nutricianists and maybe a top class trainer from the states, Khan did it that way and though Khan is a more aggressive and powerful fighter then Gavin, I think Gavin has better skills and technical ability, so it is possible, remember Malinaggi won a couple of world titles on skill and technical ability alone, only problem is Malinaggi american style is more suited to world championship level .

Gavin will never be no1 in Britain with Kell around, think if Purdy beats Jones he is also at that level slighty above. Hatton would be a good fight, or Vassell, Adil Anwar was English Welter champ but think he is going back LWW to fight Hamilton. Heffron isn't ready too if down European then Zaveck or Jackiewicz could be potentials but feel he should bea LWW.

Did not mean it that way, Kell brook is past british level now, I meant beating all the british level fighters, but understand your points.
