There were clearly a lot of mistakes made - 1) Senchenko was all wrong for Ricky, Senchenko is a massive Welterweight and has the style to cause a prime Hatton some problems. Not suggesting a 100% prime Hatton would lose to him, but Senchenko is awkard.
Malignaggi style wise is easier, a very small Welterweight, no power, no real strength and has many many miles on the clock also.
Stu - you really are BoxRec's equivalent of Talk Sport's Adrian Durham, i.e. find out whatever the general consensus is on any given issue and construct an argument to go against it. You do it very well. Then again, you should, given the amount of practice you've put into it.
The reason he was winning, IMO, was solely due to the high pressure tactics of the first five rounds and he was nicking them on work rate, not boxing ability (at that level). He couldn't sustain it. He then went into an irreversible decline from round six onwards.
The truth is, he looked poor, even in the rounds he was winning strangely enough, and ended up being battered.
If I had the time to know who Adrian Durham is and listen to his programme then I don't know whether to be offended or not.

Post count has dropped from 10 a day when this forum first opened up (and I was working part time and a full time student) to an average of 5 now. I certainly don't study the posts and take my time working out a polar opposite view (as many claim I do) - surely people can see by the number of typo's I make that I am just spouting off my opinion pub chat style.
My post count is rediculous, but I am sure there would be a few ahead if it wasn't for the big deleting of various forums or people using mutiple accounts
Senchenko wouldn't have lasted into the ninth with a prime Hatton, considering he almost got stopped early doors by a well passed it Hatton, so we need not discuss wether that body shot would have stopped prime Ricky or not, it wouldn't have landed

Impossible to say.
Just like, would Hatton have beaten a prime Tzsu ? - the fact is that his promoter waited until the perfect moment to make the match.
Before this fight he had boxed 2 world class boxers in their prime - and got knocked out by them both.
I am not a Hatton hater - I am a fan of his, but we need some perspective. He was a world class boxer, but nowhere near the "pound for pound title" he often talks about.
