On the dailymotion video, Groves clearly slumps forward and drops his hands on 49 seconds !! It's quite clear.............

Let me spell it out, Groves was fighting back, swinging almost as frequently as Froch. Froch, in this exchange, and for the first time since the opening bell landed his first real clean telling punches, he got the better of tbis exchange but Groves was defending, was fighting back and was landing his own shots. There is no indication he was in any serious trouble.

Now, here is where you go wrong. Froch grapples with Groves and at the end of the exchange puts his right arm over and around Groves head pulling him forward and down, Groves goes with it and this is exactly when the ref steps in to stop it. Groves obviously thinks the ref is breaking them up again as Froch has been fighting dirty all night and the ref breaking up the grappling every round. THATS WHY GROVES DROPPED HIS HANDS, BECAUSE THE REF STEPPED IN TO SEPERATE THEM.

As it turned out the fool was actually stopping the fight.

You see it differently to me. I see Groves momentarily stunned dropping his hands and leaning forward. You describe events that are slowed down to milli seconds. You wouldn't have been able to describe what you did on the night of the fight and when it happenned and that is my point. Foster didn't have any hindsight, any slowed down camera footage. He saw what he thought was Groves in serious trouble, with his hands dropped etc and made the decision in a split second. However, YOU STILL DON'T GET IT DO YOU !! My point is that i didn't agree with the stoppage. I merely said that seeing this footage could PERHAPS make Foster's decision more understandable and that being from Foster's point of view. Ask a thousand people and they will all say something different. You however, can't just say that you disagree. Oh no, you have to go on about post deletion and wasting five minutes of your life. You HAVE to be derogatory. Why ? Because you probably aren't that happy in real life, have issues and so are looking for a ruck with someone on a naff boxing website !! Now, that is embarressing lol

well done that man; I bet on Groves winning and thought he had Frochs number - I was right and I was wrong :( hopefully Groves will prosper on the back of his showing and I hope Froch rematches him, that would be a really big money fight.

That stoppage just gets worse with every viewing, the shot that makes Foster panic is just a short but sharp left hook, Groves automatically reverts to his high right hand defensive shape, it's a punch he recovered from in seconds.


Foster was out his depth, we'd barely hear a final bell if this was the standard for a stoppage.

That video was in slow motion and so the referee doesn't have that advantage. I say again, that it doesn't justify the decision, but IT DOES make it more understandable. If people are saying he wasn't slumped slightly forward and dropped his hands on 49 seconds, even if its for a short period of time, then they have other agenda's lol. Anyway, it's getting boring now, so if people tthink Groves wa s 100% ok, was going to win the fight, knock Froch out and Foster was crap or paid off, great stuff, all power to you.

I have no 'other agenda' whatever that is supposed to mean - I believe Groves was robbed of his opportunity, and we as fans were robbed of a wonderful true ending (however that may have been) to a great fight.
I find the judges scorecards sinister - I find the ref's decision wrong - albeit a mistake and not malicious.
