Kevin Johnson would be a good choice for AJ - difficult to hit, durable and not much attacking threat. AJ hasn't yet had to think much about how to land on his opponents so it would be good way to practice figuring opponents out and unlocking defences.

Johnson fight will be just a total bore fest so I think a good fight out there for two young upcoming heavyweights is Hughie Fury v AJ. The fight for me makes sense and could in the future lead to some trilogy.

Agree. Price is in a horrible position right now. Potential to still beat almost any heavy, but not a scalp at present due to the tiger. Aj vs Johnson is a sound match up for his career..

As for Price against AJ, that is definitely a fight that should happen, but I could see it being over within 3 rounds. Price has no chin, and doesn't have the hand speed to really shock Joshua.

Price should fight Johnson as well.

I find it hard to believe anyone can complain about this being a HW's 10th fight. AJ has been knocking fighters out early regardless of how good they actually are.
I'd suggest Sprott was a good skill level to be matched against AJ but just couldn't handle the power. So you need to find fighters who aren't necessarily better, just more durable because he is learning so little from these early blowouts. Someone like Thompson or even Dominic Guinn are perfect for his development as they have high skill and low ambtion so they will mess him around, slow him down and avoid punishment whenever possible. AJ will have to put a lot more thought into taking boxers like these out & avoid the risk going into autopilot each fight expect to walkthrough the opponent.

Remember Joe Mesi he looked great on the way up and developed good offensive skills but as soon as he was put in with a tough, decent (but undersized) opponent in Jirov he didn't know how to avoid taking punishments and the brain bleed ended his career. Just because AJ can blow out a lot of fighters he needs the opportunity to hone his craft on the way up.

Joshua isn't trying to get rounds, he's going in there to blow people away.

He shouldn't hit them so hard, then he can get a few rounds from these guys.

I heard Kevin Johnsons interviews with IFL TV today and he seems like an entertaining guy.
