Rankings were sent out on Wednesday I think.

No not in the ring until September, supposedly v Marius Wach.

I still think people are over-hyping Campbell and think he still has a lot to prove before I rank him as Britains best lightweight let alone the world class operator some think he is inevitably going to become.

I reckon he beats Coyle, but Coyle is a step up for him and I doubt it will be a straight forward fight.

If it is, I'll happily accept i'm wrong, but I just haven't seen what other have so far in Campbell.

He definitely has it all to prove. Obviously he has the basic skills needed but now they have to be showcssed on a higher stage and we need to see how he reacts to being hit back and being in a fight

Many going to this fight? Not really noticed much of a build up to it on the box but guessing it will have been brewing nicely in the hull area

He definitely has a lot to prove and I think he will. The guy oozes class and I think that's why people are getting excited. He does everything well and obviously having a gold medal behind him has helped his pro career get off to a good start. I really like him. He talks a lot of sense and seems to be a level headed guy. I'd be surprised if he doesn't make easy work of Coyle.

That's pretty incredible for a fight like this. Well done Hull.

I'm going up so should be a cracking atmosphere. Is it at the KC?

I know loads going, York has pretty strong connections with Hull on the boxing scene. Our lads boxed under the St Pauls banner years ago when our only club went under. We've got four now. Mick Bromby, Campbell's coach brought an 11year old for a skills bout on York ABC's last show. True boxing man.

Looking forward to it. I was surprised when the Hull Daily Mail said they'd done 15,000 but that's a great figure and far more than I would have predicted.
If Tommy can box sensibly I think he can give Campbell plenty to think about. He seems well up for it but I hope the occasion doesn't get to him.

Unbelievable to think that last Saturday night Buffer was announcing in Las Vegas and this Saturday he'll be at Craven Park!

Campbell will school him, and I'm not surprised they've done that, they'll do more. I called it nearing 20,000 from the start and everyone laughed.

Buffer is really starting to dilute his product. This is a local dust up and has a prospect fighting in it but it's not really a big event that is going to grab world attention.

He's always been available to anyone willing to pay his fee, but usually he only gets the big fights because it isn't worth it otherwise. I can sort of understand it for Perez-Crolla and Quigg-Martinez to try and create that feeling of it being a big fight, but this time it's a waste of money, why pay thousands to Buffer to announce a domestic level mismatch that no one gives a fornicate about outside Hull?

Buffer is available to whoever pays him. It's a bit of a mismatch but it's being billed as an event and Michael Buffer being there adds a bit of glamour to the occasion. I think Campbell will absolutely destroy him early.

Im still think this is a great match up and has a great blend of styles,im not arsed about any bad blood, fake or not as long as both guys give a great fight,i do think Coyle resents the publicity Campbell gets though, and Tommy knows he's only being fed to Luke because Matchroom have big plans for him(Campbell) and i think its surely grating on Coyle that he's being written off so much

Campbell has looked pretty much flawless so far and the Brizuela fight is a yardstick of sorts but it means nothing really and Tommy's gonna bring the fight to Luke which will probably be his downfall,Campbell has 9kos from 11 wins but im not convinced he's a puncher certainly not at title level, its just that will Campbell's power wane at domestic title level or world title level?

Coyle loves a trip to the canvas but always gets up to win, apart from the Mathews fight which he tried to,i think people forget Coyle was dominating Derry that fight before he got KO'd so he's clearly more than just a slugger, slugging will probably be his best weapon on saturday and he knows he can come through,Does Campbell?

i think at this stage in both guys career, its far from the mismatch people are making out,i still fancy Campbell to win on points but who knows how his stamina will cope with the relentless pressure Coyle will bring, add in the fact Tommy will feel he has something to prove that'll give him an extra 10%,Coyle's heart might see him walk onto a shot from the more composed Campbell, you can never rule that out with Coyle,

i think this a great fight TBH :bag:

Didn't even realise Blanco was still around. That'd be a good match up.
