Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Should be an entertaining fight whilst it lasts, although a big mismatch.
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Campbell will stop him in 3/4 rounds.
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
I assume its a twelve rounder?
I ask because Campbell has never been scheduled for a twelve rounder before, and has only been as far as the 8th round. And Coyle has only been the distance once.

This could be the best summer of boxing in the UK for many years. 2 fairly big events in July and a looks like 2 in August. Things looking good!
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Do you class this as a big event? Maybe for the people of Hull yeah to anyone else this is just a decent domestic cross roads fightmaninthemiddle wrote:This could be the best summer of boxing in the UK for many years. 2 fairly big events in July and a looks like 2 in August. Things looking good!

Agree. The people of Hull get to see local dust ups on an hourly basis too so i would imagine that it's not really a massive deal to them either.ste1983 wrote:Do you class this as a big event? It is a huge deal in Hull. I've seen them both since they were kids and it's a Luke win for me.
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Did they ever fight each other in the AMs?mickey1975 wrote:It is a huge deal in Hull. I've seen them both since they were kids and it's a Luke win for me.
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
I'll be shocked if Coyle wins a round or hears the final bell. Campbell would have beaten him on his debut.
Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
id class this similar type of fight as when Alex Arthur was hot property and was fighting willie Limond.
difference is that coyle has a habit of getting put on his arse and not very elusive so could be down and out pretty early.
you never know though could turn out a cracker only if Coyles chine holds out.

Campbell looked a bit weak in a few of his early fights. I'm not sure he would have beaten Coyle on his debut.ElJefe wrote:I'll be shocked if Coyle wins a round or hears the final bell. Campbell would have beaten him on his debut.

I think Campbell can go all the way. The skills are there. He'll walk through this guy easily.

Do you think this will be a standalone main event Mick? Or do you (like me) reckon one of the other Yorkshiremen will be a co main event? Either Josh Warrington or (less likely) Jamie McDonnell. Possibly even Gavin McDonnell as he's European champ now. Whilst you say it is a big fight, I really question whether 12 or 13 thousand tickets can be shifted off of this fight as a main event.

If its in hull then josh warrington is a terrible choice for co-headline. Trouble all over itjameswilson wrote:Do you think this will be a standalone main event Mick? Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Think he's fighting in Leeds in September, Gavin McDonnell's apparently defending the European title on the undercard and Ricky Burns in a 10 rounder.freddydoesdallas wrote:If its in hull then josh warrington is a terrible choice for co-headline. Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Glad they finally set a date as it has gone on long enough now.
I'm sure they will both make a decent wedge for the fight, which is always a good thing, but Campbell needs to get this out of the way and get moving

Campbell needs to get him out of there in explosive style, very early . It's time he made a statement, and proved to Eddie that dragging his heels over a below domestic grudge match was silly .
Campbell with good matchmaking would be getting near Joshua levels of interest.

Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
Overrated fight this. Campbell massive at the weight and so tall compared Coyle. Will be one sided.

Re: Campbell and Coyle confimed
I expect Campbell to win but I'm not as confident as most,Luke hasn't been the places Coyle has,Tommy's shown a few times, how to get up and win,and he's gonna get right in Campbell's face,he won't be overawed he's desperate for this fight and could make things ugly in there
Luke has been improving and seems to be sitting on his shots a bit more but we'll learn a lot about him that night

No way they would put Josh on, there'd be no stadium left. It will be tasty enough, FC and KR don't get on!
