I was hoping to use the challenge belt on our next promotion for our fighter Billy Stuart who is only 20 and 5-0. We weren't looking for a soft opponent and imo if the promoters used it correctly it could be a great little belt for the fighters/fans and promoters.

My show isn't until 1st September, hopefully something gets sorted out soon because like I said if used right it can help your fighters career ie a step between learning and real title level. I just worry that other governing bodies hand out titles with little meaning even calling them "World Titles" and if there is nothing for the learning fighters or fighters that are not title level fighters to get a chance for a bit of glory then we could see more boxers going down other governing body routes. (certainly not my fighters by the way!!)

Didn't Matt Sen win the cruiserweight belt last Saturday?
He did indeed - it was a very entertaining bout. Although one news report has generously given him the full British title and another fighter a 16-point win in a four-rounder - http://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/16 ... ght-crown/

The only other person I can think of winning a challenge belt was the late Scott Westgarth.

so if the BBBoC dont allow these belts anymore, who endorses them? But if the BBBoC dont allow boxers to fight for them how can they be won on BBBoC licenced shows?

I’m sure I saw a fight for one on an EBO (BIBA) show I watched a couple of months ago, although I might be wrong because I watched it on YouTube straight after a MTK show so maybe the Challenge fight was on there...

Would have been on the MTK show as the challenge belt is only held on bbbofc sanctioned shows
