He'll be fine, you pretending that wasn't the most embarrassing title fight in history is plain odd. They both looked like sewage.

Fury won easily.
Anyone who says he looked bad is a simpleton or a liar.

I've forgotten more about Boxing than you'll ever know bud. I know British fight fans cream their jeans every time one of their own does well in this sport, but I'm not gonna support a boring ass fighter who fights a dull ass fight even if he lived right down the street from me.
Tyson Fury may well wind up being an impressive Champion. His performance against Wladimir wasn't impressive to any set of unbias eyes anywhere in the World.
You're celebrating his effort in that fight like he was Willie Pep or something. He stood there, and did basically nothing. Wladimir did even less than that. So he won. It was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. There was no winner. There were two losers in the ring, and I lost to for wasting my time watching that garbage.

Unbiased! The word is unbiased!
Learn English! Seriously!
This might seem like a petty point, but I've had enough! How can people seriously think this is how that word works?

I f*cked up one word. Big deal. I spell just fine, and have a good vocabulary. I mess up sometimes, I'm human. I speak English just fine. Can't get too mad at you for pulling the old Grammar Police bit. I've been guilty of that a few times myself.

It's not really about you. I've rarely seen that word used right.
It's like I'm one of the few people who knows that it's being used wrong.
I've snapped. I've thought of starting threads on the proper use of the word 'bias' in the past, but haven't gotten around to it.

So.....you have a bias against American's use of the word bias? Get off your high "horse". I have become inebriated by the exuberance of my own verbosity.

It wasn't even close to the most embarrassing one recently.

It was no thrill fest, and Fury's size did play a role, but it was also due to how unorthodox Fury fought, and how much more natural of a boxer he is. He used his advantages to win, so he done what he was meant to.

No, it looked like two guys afraid to fight and with no clue how to do it. The worst fight I've ever seen. Not just heavyweight, any division. Agreed fury fought intelligently, he still looked like a shit.

Very true. For some reason I enjoyed the fight though. I was in a bar, there was beer, and seeing Wlad lose was so sweet, so that all helped. It would have been worse if it was one of those fights where neither guy has any power and there is little chance of the fight ending suddenly, but in the event there was tension.

Oh, I loved it. Watching Wlad get exposed by making a clumsy oaf look like Pernell Whitaker was both hysterical and rewarding.

Anyone who thought that fight was that bad must have missed Wlad's previous 20 fights. It wasn't great but it was far more entertaining than anything he had done in years.

That was the first Wlad fight I've watched since Haye. It was much worse than that.

True, Wlad/Fury was horrible. However, Wlad is always horrible to watch. If facing opponents other than each other, I'll take a Fury fight over a Wlad fight any day of the week.

It wasn't nearly as entertaining as Wlad-Pulev IMO.
Fury has been pretty boring in his last three fights--Chisora II in particular was awful.

Agree to disagree. I thought the haye fight was much, much worse. I can see the argument that the pulev fight was more entertaining but that was only because pulev actually tried to knock him out.

Yeah the Haye fight was worse I think, but that might have been because I was so desperate for Haye to win.

I think so, neither had any action so I won't argue. Wlad/Haye definitely looked like two better fighters not fighting.

Incidentally, people forget the two best punches of that fight were landed by Haye, in the 3rd and the 12th. Not that Haye seemed to care.

Yup, my favorite were Wlad's minions pounding their chest about how he shut Haye up. David went 12 rounds with their God and came out of it with a sore toe and 25 million. No running either, just another guy that Wlad couldn't hit.

Easy to see why they forget; neither shot had Wlad in major trouble and he won pretty much every other round. I also think Wlad landed a right hand that was better than the shot Haye landed in the third.
Of course it wasn't a stellar showing, but a lopsided and unquestionable win over the supposed heavyweight savior is certainly better than the knockout loss many predicted. Perhaps if the fight were scored on canvas flopping and moaning Haye would've been the one to taste victory.

Wlad certainly won, but the majority of you acted like he was standing over Haye's conquered corpse. They both talked a lot of shit, neither backed it up and Wlad won. YAY for the giant bore!
