No worries mate, I was just confused lol.Stuarty30 wrote:Yeah I was saying they should go for Pulev but I was going to post it'll either be Molina or Price but other dude beat me to itlefty wrote:Did you mean to say Pulev there mate? Isn't the OP talking about Price?Stuarty30 wrote:
Just came on to post much the same thing. Unless Pulev is injured I honestly don't know why they haven't went for him? He's available as far as I know and will be mandatory soon anyway if Parker goes the WBO route. It's a no brainier for me. Far far better option than most!

Can you imagine AJ stood in the ring waiting ,then all you hear is a loan saxophone playing Bruce Springsteen-Born in the USA as a mean looking Tony Thompson is pushed into the ring on a wheelchair as a stannah stairlift elevates him up into the ring

Very true.clopixolacuphase wrote:He looks like a good fighter that guy and in this current heavyweight era I expect that without a good promoter behind him he'll be avoided like the plague.Anzi wrote:Yes, I did something on him before, quick, agile, athletic, throws a lot of shots, great combinations, would be a threat to Joshua.MrJasonM wrote:Anybody seen anything of Izuagbe Ugonoh?
He has a good record against very limited opposition.
As for Joshua it's Price or Molina, I think it will be Price. Neither guys are PPV, but there you go?
I would like the Price fight more if he had a good win under his belt but it's hard to see it being anything other than a Joshua very early KO. Although I will be championing for the opposite.
Yeah, I'm making it up as I go along? I'm not some internet attention seeker.lefty wrote:I think you're making this up as you go along. Eddie wanted Price but the Americans won't buy it for good money so it's going to be Molina as it will sell in the US.
I'd rather see Price and so would most of the 'industry' and everyone's saying the same thing. Price will likely get iced whenever AJ steps it up but there's just that beautific chance Price lands on him and sends him to the canvas in a slumber.
There could be a reason the IBF has such rubbish in their ratings....to protect Joshua. Does anyone know if the sanction fee is based on percentage or a straight fee? Joshua makes a lot of moneyCrease wrote:When I heard about AJ's defense against Molina, I was utterly disgusted. This will be an easy pay day for Josh and he won't learn anything blowing away this bum.
But upon looking at the IBF's list, it do seem that there wasn't much more that Hearn could do for him.
IBF list.
1 Joseph Parker Fighting for the WBO title.
2 Kubrat Pulev - Refused 3 offers to fight AJ.
3 David Haye - Hearn wants that to be a stadium fight for next summer.
4 Johan Duhaupas - Really? Why is this guy even being mentioned
5 Andy Ruiz - Fighting for the WBO title.
6 Carlos Takam - KO'd recently by a non-champ.
7 Vyacheslav Glazkov - isn't he still injured?
8 Eric Molina

Sanctoning fees for World titles are hundreds of thousands of pounds. Usually they don't pay as much when it's a Mando but for voluntary defenses they have to fork it out for it getting sanctioned.boxingknockout wrote:There could be a reason the IBF has such rubbish in their ratings....to protect Joshua. I can assure you, the rankings were pretty terrible before Joshua was champion.boxingknockout wrote:There could be a reason the IBF has such rubbish in their ratings....to protect Joshua. Does anyone know if the sanction fee is based on percentage or a straight fee? Joshua makes a lot of money
Duhaupaus is a decent fighter. I'm pretty sure he'd push Joshua more than both Molina and Price would/will. He's pretty big and durable if nothing else. He could test Joshua's cardio. He kept coming forward against Wilder despite getting hit with the kitchen sink.Crease wrote:When I heard about AJ's defense against Molina, I was utterly disgusted. Once again, Duhaupas has been scheduled to fight Takam in a WBC mandatory. Already been and gone to purse bid.lefty wrote:Duhaupaus is a decent fighter.
