Here is another "funny" fact. Hearn first made Wilder the offer to fight Whyte, and if he did he would get AJ next. Well documented.punchoutsb wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 22:46Badhusker wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 19:29True it hasn't been made yet. Last I read team Parker agreed verbally to a 60/40 split in AJ's favor, but not sure if they will go for it.
It makes me laugh that Hearn was once again caught, denying that they had any negotiations or made any offer. Higgens claimed they lowballed a 20% offer. Now obviously they have been negotiating, so it is very believable they did make that offer. Decent fight if it gets made. It would be nice to see AJ fight out of his own country for once though.![]()

Now, he claims (boxingnews24) he never said that.
“You can’t say Dillian Whyte is irrelevant, and he’s this and that,” said Hearn. “He’s No.1 in the WBC, so he is relevant, and he will be his mandatory soon. So, he’s going to have to fight him sooner or later. It was never, ‘You have to beat Dillian Whyte to get to Anthony Joshua.’ No problem. If you don’t want to fight Dillian Whyte, no problem,” said Hearn. ”We just thought it was a great idea, and it was a lot of money for you. If you don’t fancy the idea of fighting Dillian Whyte, don’t worry about it. We can talk about the Anthony Joshua fight instead,” said Hearn.
Hearn is getting just as bad as Arum with his lying.
I do think it is a decent fight, but one AJ should win without question. Parker has a pretty good chin, but not ready for AJ just yet. I would prefer AJ vs Povetkin or Ortiz next. As far as AJ boxing out of his own country, some may think it is crazy because of his popularity and big money he makes there, but he will eventually have to at least come to the US (Vegas) to help his world-wide popularity. He could become more popular than Wilder in the U.S., which wouldn't take a great deal of effort.punchoutsb wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 21:20My laughter was aimed at your last two sentences.Badhusker wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 19:47Here is another "funny" fact. Have you seen Parker’s defenceIn the know 85 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 17:11 if Parker can stay well out the way for 6-8 rounds I think he can stop josh late, or if he treats it like a 4 round fight and steams in to aj and try's to catch him cold early, anything else and he gets ko'd.

Absolutely
A decision is unlikely because AJ will end it.. But even more unlikely is a decision for Parker.. He got outboxed by Takam and Ruiz.. He's not going to outbox somebody as slick as Joshua in 10,000 years.. Joshua will jab him up and rip him with right hand counter shots.. followed by combinations.. He'll start chasing Parker around the ring about round 8 ... and surely get him gone by the 10th.
We are on the same team here, I would prefer 3 fights but I don't think we'll get them unless at least 1 maybe 2 are quick blow outs or take little out of Joshua.
"We will come to England and fight AJ, but 40 per cent is the bottom line and I can give my word now, not one per cent less."
yeah we get most rain in AprilSaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 21:21 eff that, they should fight as soon as UK weather permits it. Would April be too soon?
Are there 2 Anthony Joshuas? I think he did well to ride the storm against Klitschko and turn the fight around. Credit to him for that. I don't see the nailed on atg that you seem to see though, far from it.Kalan wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 18:31You're not trying to be honest... You're looking for every partisan reason you can come up with to justify your biased pick.
Parker hasn't been knocking top fighters out... He hasn't been knocking them down... He hasn't been getting rid of them... He's been getting biased decisions in New Zealand.. Povertkin and Joshua got Takam out and put him down.. Hughie Fury jumped 40 slots to fight Parker.. He hasn't beaten anybody, and he sure as Hell isn't a real good boxer.. Ruiz hasn't faced anyone that good.. He scored more solid punches than Parker.
Whyte nailed Joshua with a hard left hook, and DIDN'T shake him up, put him down, make him grab, or make him retreat.. Joshua came right back and took control.. I don't see how anyone can view that as a negative because of the way Joshua took Whyte out.. He murdered him.
Wladimir decked Joshua and had him hurt.. Klitschko tried every trick in the book to finish him off and he couldn't nail him with another telling shot -- although he ripped him pretty good.. Joshua got out of the round and the next round and turned the fight around in his direction.. He showed a veteran's poise and didn't turn a hair when he was in imminent danger.. That shouldn't be viewed as a negative because almost every ATG fighter is going to be on the verge of defeat at some point in his career.. How he responds is how you measure his resourcefulness.
Anthony Joshua is already the #1 Heavyweight of all time in Kalan's opinion. You can't even argue with that sort of nonsense.
$5m still equates to 20% of the purse split, assuming AJ also receives his typical $20m payday.
