I agree with part of this. The bit where you say saying Wlad just didn’t throw any punches, it’s hugely nit giving fury the credit for being a difficult target to set up

The bit to say fury definitely beats Joshua is funny tough. Based on there careers and his power I don’t think anyone can say anyone definitely beats Joshua.

I’d be amazed if fury did get Joshua out of there with a body shot. That’s not fury’s game at all

I never said Wlad didn't throw a punch. I'm quoting the people that do say it..

joshua is far more powerful than fury but Tyson is by far the better boxer. I will always believe Tyson would out box AJ & ud him comfortably

It's not his game no but the way AJ blows at times I think fury would see it as a perfect opportunity

The trouble is, those tactics only worked because Wlad has been ultra cautious since his ko losses. An aggressive fighter like Joshua or Wilder wouldn’t wait until they were fully set or had a 100% chance of landing, and that’s why they’d end up knocking Fury out. The idea that Fury is some sort of master boxer is a joke tbh; he should get full credit for the win over Wlad, but it should be taken in context of the opponent - the tactics worked specifically because of Wlad’s mental shortcomings.

Joshua would walk through Fury as he throws nothing back for him to worry about.

To clarify my position

I think fury did well vs Wlad and those that say Wlad didn’t throw a punch and didn’t want to fight really aren’t analysing that fight well at all, and fury doesn’t get the credit he deserves

It’s horses for courses though, as like you I don’t see that working vs Joshua. When Joshua goes for a full on assault it’s really difficult to stay out of trouble. Look at round 5 vs Wlad. It kind of came out of nowhere. And Wlad had something fury hasn’t, a big fight hand, to give Joshua some food for thought about being so attacking, I don’t see what fury has to deter Joshua. To beat him he’ll literally have to be running all fight

The question over Wlad Fury remains did Fury handle Wlad so well that he was always only going to need to land very few shots to win the fight, or did Wlad have a bad night at the office which he would have tactically reassessed in a rematch?

Probably a bit of both. Fury probably won by three rounds or so; he won, but not by a distance and it certainly wasn't some masterclass. I don't really see how it could be a masterclass if he's landing somewhere in the region of seven punches a round.

As most have said Joshua will be throwing loads more back, and Fury is more than hittable. If Pajkic and Cunningham can have him down then Joshua can have him out.
